GAINESVILLE, Florida (KRON) — A Florida woman may pursue legal action against police and prosecutors after she spent more than a month in jail for possession of SpaghettiOs.

Police say they arrested 23-year old Ashley Gabrielle Huff after they found a spoon covered with a suspicious residue inside the car she was riding in.

From the beginning Huff insisted that she wasn’t using, selling, or making methamphetamines.

The woman spent more than a month in jail while her attorney tried to arrange a plea bargain. That’s when the crime lab report came back confirming the spoon was encrusted with spaghetti sauce.

About two weeks after he went missing, police announced an NIH scientist has been found dead in his car.

Martin John Rogers, 54, left his Gaithersburg home around 7:30 a.m. on Aug. 21 to go to work. As he was leaving, he told his wife of 25 years that he was going to a meeting — but his co-workers said he never showed up to work that morning.

“This is like a bad dream that you read about in the newspaper, and if you tried to pick someone that would wander off like this and disappear, you would never pick my husband,” said Kelley Rogers, Martin’s wife.

Martin Rogers had worked at the National Institutes of Health for 15 years and specialized in tropical diseases.

Police said surveillance video captured Martin checking into a hotel in La Valle, Maryland, looking “stressed out.” Last week, police received multiple reports of possible sightings along the C&O Canal towpath, including by Edwards Ferry, near Poolesville, Violettes Lock near Darnestown, and as far away as Cumberland.

In a news release late Thursday night, Montgomery County Police announced Rogers’ body was found near an abandoned car parked close to MV Smith Road in Allegany County. Police say they believe foul play was not involved.

On August 23 2014, an 89-year-old World War II veteran grabbed an armed robber’s gun, then pulled out his own gun and wrestled with the suspect before shooting him six times.

The veteran, Arthur M. Lewis, was working at his Lake Park, Florida, jewelry store around 3 p.m when Lennard Patrick Jervis allegedly entered the store with a revolver.

The Palm Beach Post reports that Lewis “immediately grabbed the suspect’s revolver and pulled out a .38 caliber handgun from his own pocket.” The men then “wrestled for several minutes and fired shots at each other” from close range.

A computer programmer who filmed Fast and Furious 6 at a cinema and then uploaded it to the internet has been jailed for almost three years.

Philip Danks, 25, used a camcorder to record Fast and Furious 6 at a cinema in Walsall, near Birmingham and then uploaded a copy to the internet the following day.

The pirate copy was downloaded 779,000 times, costing Universal Pictures, one of Hollywood’s biggest film-makers, almost £2.3m.

Two days after his arrest on May 23, he posted on Facebook, “Seven billion people and I was the first. F*** you.”
