Why is the U.S. economy suddenly deteriorating so rapidly all around us?  Well, the short answer is that this downturn is way overdue.  For years, our leaders tried to cheat the laws of economics.  The Federal Reserve pushed interest rates all the way to the floor, which is something that never would happen in a true free market economy, and they pumped trillions of fresh dollars that they literally created out of thin air into the financial system.  Meanwhile, our politicians in Washington were engaging in the greatest debt binge that the world has ever seen.  All of this reckless manipulation seemed to work for a while, but many of us warned that it would inevitably create a major inflation crisis, and that is precisely what happened.  So now the Fed is aggressively hiking interest rates in a desperate attempt to tame the inflation monster that they helped to create, and higher rates are absolutely crushing economic activity.

At this point, most Americans understand that something has seriously gone wrong, and this is pushing consumer confidence lower.

A South Carolina state Senator wants to hit new residents with a $500 “Yankee Tax” for moving to the Palmetto state.

The bill, proposed by Sen. Stephen Goldfinch (R), would require those moving to South Carolina from out-of-state to pay two one-time fees; $250 for vehicle registrations and $250 for a new driver’s license. Half of the new fee would go toward the state’s infrastructure – including roads, bridges and common community areas, according to Fox Business.

“I’m not trying to build a wall and this is not a fee against new residents, it’s a fee for people to catch up with the rest of us,” Goldfinch told Fox News Digital. “I think there’s a rational basis for requiring newcomers to catch up with the rest of us and contribute to the roads, bridges, schools and green spaces that we’ve [residents] always contributed to.”

The lockdown mandates were useless.  The mask mandates were useless.  The death rate of covid has been exposed as fraudulent, with up to 70% of covid fatalities misdiagnosed by hospitals.  The rumors of covid induced heart failure have been debunked.  The claims of a “pandemic of the unvaccinated” have been debunked as the majority of covid deaths today are among the vaccinated.  Natural immunity has been shown to be far superior to the vaccines.  The US government is now essentially admitting that covid most likely came from the Level 4 virology lab in Wuhan, China – The same lab where Anthony Fauci and the NIH funded gain of function research on coronaviruses.

Don’t show any of this evidence to Lula Da Silva, the highly controversial convicted criminal president of Brazil – He says it’s all “denialism” designed to convince the Brazilian populace to remain unprotected from covid.  Silva has made forced vaccination a centerpiece of his presidency, and his latest efforts smell of globalist policy influence.

Silva has launched a new covid vaccination initiative in 2023, thee years after the covid outbreak and more than a year after most other nations gave up trying to pressure the citizenry to comply.  The oddity of it is rooted in Brazil’s existing vaccine rate – According to “official data” Brazil already has an 80% vaccinated population.  If this is true, why is Silva still trying to force the other 20% into compliance?  In pure public health terms, Brazil has already achieved herd immunity (if the vaccines were actually effective as claimed).  It would appear another motive is afoot.

An efficiency proposal by the Department of Energy (DOE) would block half of current gas cooking appliances from the U.S. market, an analysis by the federal agency shows.

The DOE proposed a maximum annual gas consumption of 1,204 thousand British thermal units (kBtu), also known as the EL 2 standard, for all gas cooking tops. If that rule is finalized, only half of those appliances that are currently on the market would be able to meet the new standard.

The department “estimates that nearly half of the total gas cooking top market currently achieves EL 2 and therefore would not be impacted by the proposed standard, if finalized,” DOE stated in an updated analysis (pdf).

Chevron will raise its targeted annual share buyback rate to $17.5 billion, up from $15 billion, as it looks to grow shareholder distribution, the U.S. supermajor said on Tuesday.

High-return production growth supports growing shareholder distributions, Chevron said at its annual investor meeting today. At $60 a barrel Brent price, the company expects its annual free cash flow to grow by more than 10%. It is raising its share buyback guidance range to $10 billion to $20 billion per year and will raise its targeted annual share buyback rate to $17.5 billion starting in the second quarter.

In January, Chevron’s Board authorized a new $75 billion share repurchase program without a fixed expiration date, which immediately drew criticism from the White House.

White House Assistant Press Secretary Abdullah Hasan said, commenting on the news, “For a company that claimed not too long ago that it was ‘working hard’ to increase oil production, handing out $75 billion to executives and wealthy shareholders sure is an odd way to show it.”

As we have outlined outlined in detail many times in the past, there is little to no concrete evidence supporting the theory that man-made carbon emissions have any relevance whatsoever to weather and climate change.  There is no evidence of a “climate crisis” and no evidence that human industry and agriculture makes a negative impact on the Earth’s temperatures.  There is no evidence that carbon emissions have a causation effect on global warming and no evidence to support “tipping point” theories that assert that a mere 1.5°C increase in temps will lead to environmental catastrophe.

Climate activists relying on a tiny time frame of around 100 years of our planet’s weather history as evidence to support their claims while ignoring the millions of years of temperature changes that occurred without human input is alarming and anti-science.  In fact, the Earth has been much warmer (and cooler) multiple times in its history that it is today suggests that people have very little influence on the climate in general.

Beyond the lack of scientific evidence in terms of carbon emissions and global warming, there is also the issue of political and social control rooted in climate laws.  Right now in Europe the farming industry is facing bureaucratic Armageddon as governmental red tape and climate based taxation are set to make the growing of food impossible for a majority of farmers.  UN and EU climate controls are being implemented now and will effectively destroy large portions of the EU economy, and the establishment wants to bring these same policies to the US.

A top U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) official gave false information about COVID-19 vaccine safety monitoring to the agency’s vaccine advisory panel, and a spokesperson for the agency refused to correct the misinformation.

Dr. Tom Shimabukuro, director of the CDC’s Immunization Safety Office, presented on COVID-19 vaccine safety to the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices on Feb. 24.

Shimabukuro went over updates to the safety signal for ischemic stroke following Pfizer bivalent booster vaccination that CDC officials detected in one of the agency’s monitoring systems.

After sharing the updates, Shimabukuro made the false statement.

“No safety signals were detected for ischemic stroke for the primary series or monovalent boosters for Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccines in U.S. and global monitoring,” Shimabukuro said.

That’s not true. The CDC identified ischemic stroke as a safety signal following Moderna and Pfizer vaccination after analyzing reports to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), a different system, which the agency co-manages.

Asked for comment, Shimabukuro did not respond. But a CDC spokesperson doubled down on the false claim.

Bill Hammond, senior policy fellow at the conservative-leaning think tank The Empire Center, told Fox: “People were dying. There was reasonable concern that it was going to keep getting worse.”

Among the emergency orders made by then-Mayor Bill de Blasio was an order for 3,000 emergency ventilators that cost the city $12 million. One investigative reporter, Greg Smith, said of the purchase: “They put them in the corner or in the closet or something, and they never turned [them] on.”

Israeli settlers went on a rampage in the Nablus area – burning cars, businesses and attacking random Palestinians – after a Sunday night shooting wherein a Palestinian gunman killed two Israelis in the Huwara area.

Palestinian officials have condemned what they called a “pogrom” which saw some 400 Palestinians injured. This resulted in more shootings by Palestinian gunmen on Monday, including of a motorist identified by US officials as an American.
