A lawsuit allegedly filed by Jared Lee Loughner, the man who carried out the mass shooting in Tucson in 2011, against one of the victims as well as the federal government, could be a hoax.

The court filing, which appears to be made by Loughner without a lawyer, features bizarre accusations including the shooting was a setup and his original lawyer was a global spy that forced him to plead guilty.

Shocking footage has emerged online apparently showing an Israeli soldier executing a wounded Palestinian lying on the ground. The victim had reportedly been injured in retaliation for a stabbing attack before being cold-bloodedly shot in the head.

The video has been uploaded to B’Tselem human rights center’s YouTube account. It shows a crowd of IDF members – all armed – helping to evacuate their fellow soldier into an ambulance somewhere in Hebron. The description to the video says the evacuee was stabbed by a Palestinian man who was allegedly injured by the Israelis in retaliation.

While the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldier is given medical treatment and proper care, and seems to be conscious, the Palestinian is lying on the ground immobilized. Both the Israeli servicemen and the medical staff can be seen ignoring the man until the ambulance leaves.

– Mongolia herders face disaster: Red Cross:

Hundreds of thousands of farm animals have perished in a slow-moving natural disaster in Mongolia and the international aid response has been insufficient, the Red Cross said Friday.

Mongolia has been hit by a devastating natural phenomenon known as a “dzud”, said the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) — a hot summer drought followed by a severe winter.

The combination spells doom for livestock in a country where IFRC said a third of the thinly-spread population rely on animal husbandry for their livelihoods.

Goats, sheep and cows die en masse, unable to graze sufficiently in the warmer months to build up the reserves necessary to withstand later temperatures that regularly drop to -50 degrees Celsius.

More than 350,000 animals have already died, but more than a million deaths are expected, according to the latest available data from the UN mission in the country, IFRC said.

Jim Wagner, president of the Atlanta university, wrote Tuesday that the students viewed the messages as intimidation, and they voiced ‘genuine concern and pain’ as a result.
