The Ritz-Carlton in Riyadh has been commandeered to house almost 50 Saudi royals and dignitaries arrested by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s anti corruption committee.

Implanting a microchip into your brain to unlock its full potential may sound like the plot from the latest science fiction blockbuster.

But the futuristic technology could become a reality within 15 years, according to Bryan Johnson, an expert working on such a device.

The chips will allow people to buy and delete memories, and will soon be as popular as smartphones, Mr Johnson claims.

France is about to commemorate the victims of the terror attacks of November 13, 2015. What has been achieved in the two years since the attacks?

The French authorities are sending compensation to more than 2,500 victims of the jihadist attacks in Paris and Saint-Denis, who will be compensated with 64 million euros. Important victories were also attained by anti-terrorism forces. According to an enquiry by the weekly L’Express, in the last two years, 32 terrorist attacks were foiled, 625 firearms were seized, 4,457 people suspected of having jihadist links were searched, and 752 individuals were placed under house arrest. But the general impression is that of a country “frailing from within”.

Germany’s Federal Constitutional Court on Wednesday called for a third gender option in the registry of births.

Intersex people, who are neither male nor female, should be able to register their sexual identity as such, the Karlsruhe court ruled.

A top Deutsche Bank strategist speculates that we may be looking at the “start of the end of fiat money”.

Bitcoin was originally developed as a peer-to-peer electronic cash system that would free its users from the bondage of state-controlled currency and the erosion of wealth due to inflation. Despite its phenomenal growth, most mainstream financial analysts remain skeptical that it will ever achieve mainstream adoption – at least as a currency used for everyday transactions.

However, as Business Insider reports, Deutsche Bank strategist Jim Reid envisions that the current fiat monetary system could begin to collapse within the next decade, creating a climate that would encourage the rise of an alternative currency system.

It’s like a war zone in parts of Sweden, rife with  multiculturalism they say – but what they mean is muslimculturalism, if you can even call it a culture – which infects its host nation with violence, rape, bombings, and as much as 90% welfare dependency. But you won’t hear about this in the Western media, probably because people aren’t even hearing much about it in the Swedish media.

Voice of Europe reported that Sweden has suffered through  13 bombings in 25 days). They called it a war zone. The entire country has just under 10 million people while New York City has 8 and-a-half million.

According to the Voice of Europe report: Earlier this month, the attacks have included: an attack on the police station in Malmö, on a multi-family apartment complex, and a car bomb. The most recent attack that occurred on 2 November, was on a nightclub restaurant in Malmö. The Babel nightclub’s front entrance was destroyed by the bomb. There were no injuries in this attack.

It had been known that sheep can recognize familiar faces of other sheep and of humans. The researchers say this study of the ability of sheep to recognize faces may be useful in research into Huntington’s disease and other human brain disorders that affect mental processing.

Pippi Longstocking is the main character in some of the most famous Swedish children’s books. The books have been translated into 70 languages and made into television films and TV series as well.

The first Pippi Longstocking novels appeared in 1945 and the adventurous stories were never really seen as “problematic” until a white German feminist called them racist in 2011. Later, the controversy reared its ugly head in multicultural Sweden as well.

But last week it reached its zenith, when the police filed a report after children at a Swedish day-care centre were listening to the Longstocking stories in a local library.
