Even Legal Levels Of Monsanto’s Glyphosate Damage The Environment:

A new study published by a group of Brazilian researchers in the journal Phycologia shows that Monsanto’s most popular herbicide Roundup negatively affects life in freshwater ecosystems. More specifically, legal levels of Roundup, as well as those of its main ingredient glyphosphate, can alter and kill macroalgae (i.e. freshwater seaweed) by inhibiting photosynthesis.

The legal limits referenced in the study are those of Brazil, which are 0.28 mg l?1. Compare that to the US legal limit of 0.7 mg l?1. Macroalgae are extremely important in freshwater ecosystems as they function as primary producers, meaning they help form the bottom of the food chain on which other organisms depend. They also recycle nutrients and increase plankton populations, which are a main food source for many fish and other marine animals. Die-offs of macroalgae, regardless of the cause,  reduce diversity and the populations of other animals in the ecosystem, which can put the entire ecosystem at risk of collapse if the die-off is sufficiently severe. The species of macroalgae used in the study, Nitella microcarpa, is found throughout the world, meaning that the implications of this study are global.

Mainstream media finally admits U.S. honey is contaminated with glyphosate weed killer (Roundup)

– Mainstream media finally admits U.S. honey is contaminated with glyphosate weed killer (Roundup):

Freedom of Information documents obtained by the group U.S. Right to Know reveal that the FDA has confirmed the presence of glyphosate contamination in honey being sold on U.S. store shelves.

Glyphosate is the active ingredient in Roundup, the world’s top selling herbicide. Roundup’s explosive commercial success has been largely driven by the use of crops genetically engineered to withstand direct application of the herbicide. In 2015, the World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) declared the chemical a probable human carcinogen.

The documents show that every honey sample tested by the FDA contained glyphosate residue, in some cases at levels twice those allowed in the European Union (EU).

Bayer’s acquisition of Monsanto to create agricultural monster with near-monopoly control over the world’s food supply

Bayer’s acquisition of Monsanto to create agricultural monster with near-monopoly control over the world’s food supply:

After months of haggling, the Bayer-Monsanto consolidation will finally be coming to fruition. Yes, our worst fears are coming true: Monsanto will become an even larger, more powerful force in the world. Germany’s Bayer cinched the deal by increasing their offer by another billion dollars. With an offer of $66 billion, and a commitment to take over the company’s current debts, Monsanto will soon be a part of the most frightening pharmaceutical-agricultural conglomerate in the world.

CNN Money has declared that the Bayer-Monsanto merger is “the year’s biggest takeover,” though it is surely far from something worth celebrating. Many feel that Bayer is the real winner here; the company is strongest in Europe and Asia, and will reap the benefits of Monsanto’s hefty presence in North America. Bayer will also get all of Monsanto’s experience in agrichemicals and GMO seeds. There is still a chance that this deal will not go through. If, by some miracle, Bayer is unable to acquire Monsanto, farmers and consumers across the world will breathe a sigh of relief.

MIT Prof. Stephanie Seneff: Glyphosate Pretending To Be Glycine: Devastating Consequences (Video)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snNRfAfSeUk

25.05.2016

Description:

Glyphosate is the active ingredient in the pervasive herbicide, Roundup. Glyphosate’s inventor, Monsanto, has assured us that glyphosate is nearly nontoxic to humans. This is blatantly untrue. Glyphosate’s toxicity is insidious, and it comes about mainly because glyphosate is a synthetic amino acid. Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins. When you replace glycine, an amino acid, with glyphosate, a synthetic amino acid, in a protein, often the protein no longer works as intended. Sometimes it can’t be broken down and it accumulates in the brain, causing neurological disease. Other times, it is inactivated as an enzyme or it can’t attach to a membrane. Glyphosate also pretends to be glycine at glycine receptors. Glycine is a neurotransmitter, but glyphosate fools the receptor and then doesn’t behave as expected. This wreaks havoc on human physiology in multiple ways, leading to a nearly complete explanation for the strong correlations between the rise in glyphosate usage on crops and the increased incidence in a host of chronic modern diseases, including diabetes, obesity, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, ALS, adrenal insufficiency, anemia, spina bifida and autism. In this talk, I will try to keep the scientific jargon as simple as possible, while presenting an amazing story about biochemistry gone awry.

Anthony Samsel: How Glyphosate Makes You Sick – Glyphosate Mimicking Glycine – Glyphosate Destroys Glands And Organs (Video)

30.08.2016

Anthony Samsel/ Stephanie Seneff’s peer reviewed paper on Glyphosate, fifth volume, is out. In an interview with Tony Mitra, he lays out the proof how glyphosate as an analog (mimic) of glycine, gets picked up by our body and used by our RNA, mistakenly thinking it is glycine, to go into various parts of our biology and how, once it gets there, it creates malfunctioning proteins that become the trigger for illness and disease.

This is the first part of a multipart section.

Monsanto Mistake Spawns Widespread Crop Losses

Monsanto Mistake Spawns Widespread Crop Losses:

By Dr. Mercola

After two decades of planting glyphosate-tolerant crops, resistant weeds have overtaken farm fields across the U.S., leaving farmers to battle an increasingly difficult situation. At least 35 weed species are now resistant to glyphosate, the primary ingredient in Monsanto’s broad-spectrum herbicide Roundup.1

Studies2 have also linked glyphosate to increases in Sudden Death Syndrome (SDS), a deadly plant disease that causes plants to turn yellow and die — including crops that have never been sprayed with the herbicide but were planted in a field that received an application the previous season.

In an effort to skirt disaster, Monsanto developed a new breed of genetically engineered (GE) seeds tolerant to other pesticides besides Roundup. This, they claim, is the answer to rising weed resistance — a side effect the company said would not occur from the use of their GE seeds in the first place.

We now know, without any shadow of a doubt, they were wrong. And there’s every reason to believe they are wrong about their next generation of GE seeds as well. If anything, it will likely boost weed resistance, continue driving the increase in pesticide use and make our food even more toxic.

Monsanto Losing Millions As Farmers In India Rebel & Plant Indigenous Cotton Seed

Monsanto Losing Millions As Farmers In India Rebel & Plant Indigenous Cotton Seed:

Monsanto is losing millions on failed GM cotton. The company illegally pushed a form of Bt cotton into India and Africa more than a decade ago, but farmers are now pushing back by planting their own indigenous seed.

Monsanto is accused of writing laws and then breaking them to enter the market in India, but after more than 300,000 farmer deaths between 1995 and 2013, many of them attributed to Monsanto, the company is finally paying for their misdeeds. The corporation’s greed is linked to farmer suicides throughout Maharashtra, considered the ‘Cotton Belt’ in India.

The Indian government is now actively promoting the use of indigenous seed, and has called Monsanto out for profiteering illegally on Bt cotton seed.

Monsanto has already lost nearly $75 million in royalties this year (5 billion rupees) due to the change in seed choice by farmers. Sales in India have fallen by 15 percent, and though this is a relatively small market share, it is still making a huge impact on the company’s bottom line.

Farm feud: Monsanto and its clients under fire for damaging crops

Farm feud: Monsanto and its clients under fire for damaging crops:

Farmers in Arkansas, Tennessee and southern Missouri are angry at their neighbors – and agrochemical giant Monsanto – over a new weed-killer that has ravaged 200,000 acres of soybean fields. The herbicide is used to treat Monsanto’s new strand of soy.

As controversies mount over its glyphosate-based herbicide, also known as Roundup, the Missouri-based Monsanto has rolled out a new soybean seed intended to be resistant to another weed-killer, known as dicamba. While the “Roundup Ready 2 Xtend” soy has been approved for planting in 2016, US federal regulators have yet to approve the use of dicamba.

Farmers who bought Monsanto’s seeds have taken to spraying their crops with dicamba obtained from other vendors – which is prone to drifting into neighboring fields, severely damaging the non-Xtend crops. Officials across the three states cite a “rough figure” of 200,000 acres affected by the drift, Delta Farm Press reported.

Staged Zika pandemic was engineered by globalist governments to justify the aerial bombardment of awakening populations with toxic chemicals

“75% of the population in some countries have been infected with Zika, with NO BIRTH DEFECTS resulting”

Pesticide-Crop-Spray-Mosquito

Staged Zika pandemic was engineered by globalist governments to justify the aerial bombardment of awakening populations with toxic chemicals:

In case you didn’t already know, everything is rigged these days, meaning it’s contrived, fabricated or distorted to fit an official narrative that feeds a nefarious agenda. The Zika virus hysteria is no different: it was all engineered from the start for a specific purpose, and this article explains exactly what’s really behind the Zika pandemic and why it’s being pushed so aggressively by globalist governments nearing collapse.

First, a little background that you won’t get from any mainstream news source. The Zika virus has been around for more than 70 years, and it was originally harvested, isolated and turned into a research product by none other than the Rockefeller Foundation, the same globalist cabal of medical criminals who sought to destroy alternative medicine and grant western chemical medicine a monopoly over society.

The Chilling History of Monsanto’s Rise to Power

The Chilling History of Monsanto’s Rise to Power:

By Dr. Mercola

In the featured video, journalist Abby Martin discusses Monsanto’s rise to power and how the company has managed to saturate the global environment with its toxic chemicals, largely through immoral means.

In May, the University of San Francisco (USF) revealed the results from a testing project that began in 2015. The tests, commissioned by the Organic Consumers Association (OCA), found that 93 percent of Americans have detectable levels of the chemical glyphosate in their urine.1

Glyphosate is the most widely used agricultural chemical in the world, and it’s an active ingredient in Monsanto’s broad-spectrum herbicide Roundup. As noted by the Detox Project:2

Progressives BETRAYED! Democratic party official platform is now pro FRACKING, pro Monsanto, pro TPP, anti GMO labeling:

Because of the diverse audience we attract, there are a lot of Natural News readers who are still supporting the Democrats. If you’re one of those people, it’s time for you to question what you’re really supporting because you may not be aware that the democratic party openly supports fracking, Monsanto, vaccine mandates, chemical agriculture and the TPP. On top of that, they’re mostly opposed to GMO labeling, too. Only Sen. Sanders really stood up to the biotech industry on that point, and now after the DNC email leaks, you know how the democrat establishment hosed Sanders with a vindictive smear campaign to destroy his chances of winning the nomination.

The truth is, the Democrat party is not a party of progressive ideas. Even the progressive news website Common Dreams has authored this piece blasting the DNC for its betrayals.

Emails reveal role of Monsanto in Seralini study retraction

monsantoland

Emails reveal role of Monsanto in Seralini study retraction:

In September 2012 the journal Food and Chemical Toxicology (FCT) published the research of a team led by the French biologist Professor Gilles-Eric Séralini, which found liver and kidney toxicity and hormonal disturbances in rats fed Monsanto’s GM maize NK603 and very small doses of the Roundup herbicide it is grown with, over a long-term period. An additional observation was a trend of increased tumours in most treatment groups.

In November 2013 the study was retracted by the journal’s editor, A. Wallace Hayes, after the appointment of a former Monsanto scientist, Richard E. Goodman, to the editorial board and a non-transparent review process by nameless people that took several months.

Federal Judge Rules Lawsuit Against Monsanto Can Proceed:

A federal judge has refused to dismiss a lawsuit by a former coffee grower who claims that Monsanto’s Roundup herbicide gave her cancer.

In another blow to Monsanto Co’s already tarnished public image, a former Kona coffee grower will be allowed to sue the biotechnology giant for possibly contributing to her cancer diagnosis. Monsanto’s Roundup herbicide has been subject to heavy scrutiny following studies linking the herbicide to non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

Christine and Kenneth Sheppard, former owners of Dragon’s Lair Kona Coffee Farm in Captain Cook on the Big Island, claim that Monsanto hid the risks associated with glyphosate, a key ingredient in Roundup. Christine Sheppard believes her consistent contact with Roundup caused her to develop non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
