– YouTube Shooting Witness: “I Didn’t Have a Gun on Me, But Wish I Did”:

A man who witnessed the shooting at YouTube’s San Bruno headquarters on Tuesday said he wished he had been carrying a gun when the shooting occurred.

“I didn’t have a gun on me, but wish I did,” said the man, who was ordering food across from the company’s headquarters when the shooting began.

“I knew I had to be smart. You’ve got to be fast. You’ve got to think fast.”

Police confirmed that the female shooter, who has not been named, was not a YouTube employee and didn’t know anyone at the company.  Witnesses say the shooting broke out at an employee party, which is thought to be how the woman may have gained access to the building.

It didn’t take long before the YouTube shooting turned political. After journalist Jack Posobiec tweeted an official report from a local Bay Area news outlet listing the shooter as a “white, adult female wearing a dark top and head scarf,” blue-checked Twitter users performed quick mental gymnastics to arrive at the conclusion that conservatives are “spreading vile conspiracies that ANTIFA is behind the YouTube HQ shooting.”

A 78-year-old homeowner has been arrested by murder detectives after a suspected burglar he fought with in his own kitchen died of a stab wound. 

The pensioner, named locally as Richard Osborn-Brooks, was upstairs asleep with his wife when he was woken by the two men breaking into his suburban home in Hither Green, south-east London last night.

He was forced into his kitchen by one of the men, who was armed with a screwdriver, before a struggle ensued.

The intruder, a 38-year-old man, was left with wounds to his chest and local residents say he collapsed in a neighbouring road and died in hospital.

The homeowner was initially detained on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm but was later arrested on suspicion of murder. The case has been compared to that of Tony Martin, who was jailed for killing an intruder at his home in 1999.

A man jailed after leaving bacon sandwiches outside a mosque has been found dead in his cell.

Kevin Crehan, 35, was halfway through a one-year prison sentence he received in July after admitting the racially-motivated attack on the Jamia Mosque in Bristol earlier this year.

The heads of schools from various parts of England and Wales have described differences in the appearance of some of their pupils. Poverty stricken children are “grey and pale” and fill their pockets with food so they can have something to eat.

And the problem is only worsening as government regulations and tax burdens continue to make it hard for everyday people to get by.  According to the BBC, on school head was quoted saying, “My children have grey skin, poor teeth, poor hair; they are thinner.” Lynn, a head teacher from a former industrial town in Cumbria, who did not want to give her full name, was one of a number of head teachers speaking to reporters at the National Education Union conference in Brighton.

Even though the government said measures were in place to tackle poverty, much of the UK is sliding into abject poverty as the country inches closer to Communism. 

“Children are filling their pockets with food. In some establishments that would be called stealing. We call it survival,” Lynn said.

Jane Jenkins, a head teacher from Cardiff, said children in her school often only brought a slice of bread and margarine for lunch and that teachers supplemented this. “It’s really difficult and when people are asking you about standards, why we don’t go up the league tables?”

A new civil rights act has come into force in Switzerland that will deny applications for citizenship to migrants and those seeking asylum who have been receiving welfare payments in any of the past three years unless they pay back all the money they have received from the state.

Breitbart  The new regulations will make it impossible for asylum seekers and migrants who have lived off state handouts in the last three years to become citizens even if they have lived in Switzerland as permanent residents for the required time to make a citizenship application, Kronen Zeitung reports.

When the initiative was first announced, McDonald’s decision to raise its employees’ wages to $1 above minimum wage (albeit only at corporate-owned stores, a minority of the company’s total count) was hailed as a radical example of corporate accountability – a direct repudiation of the far-left notion that “quarterly capitalism” and employers accepting responsibility for their employees were mutually exclusive.

As any steely eyed realist might’ve expected, McDonald’s widely lauded “wage hike” was little more than a publicity stunt. In the three years since McDonald’s announced the wage hike in 2015, the firm has essentially frozen employee wages, often leaving them just a few cents above minimum wage, as Bloomberg has discovered.

But the company doesn’t expect to experience any blowback from this decision: After all, McDonald’s never said it was pegging employees’ wages to $1 above minimum wage. The company, it appears, deliberately equivocated during its initial announced – and what’s worse, nobody in the media has called the company out.

Until now, that is.
