Millions of pounds of Halloween pumpkins end up in the trash, becoming part of the more than 254 million tons of municipal solid waste produced in the United States every year, says the Energy Dept website.

Municipal solid waste decomposes into methane, “a harmful greenhouse gas that plays a part in climate change, with more than 20 times the warming effect of carbon dioxide,” Energy says.

– NOAA Refuses to Hand Over Climate Change Documents to Congress:

Last summer, scientists published a study that challenged the notion that global warming has been slowing down in recent years. Their analysis was based on temperature data that was provided by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Since that time, Congressman Lamar Smith has asked NOAA for the data and internal communications that were related to the study, but they have refused to hand them over.

On October 13th, Smith filed a subpoena for the documents. The Congressman has long been skeptical of climate change, and has accused NOAA of fabricating temperature data. Smith told The Examiner that “Congress cannot do its job when agencies openly defy Congress and refuse to turn over information…When an agency decides to alter the way it has analyzed historical temperature data for the past few decades, it’s crucial to understand on what basis those decisions were made. This action has broad national and policy implications.”

A new article out states that the Northwest passage will not be navigable due to increased sea ice in the Arctic, up to 10 feet/3.2 meters thick. Laughably many other reports have said the N.W. Passage will be ice free by 2015. This report shows the facts and incorrect predictions of sea ice, sea level rises and polar bear declines.

Wikipedia / Paleoclimatology has a good illustration of constant climate change over 500,000,000 years, with hundreds of cycles of global warming / cooling in the last 50 million years, and 10 cycles of global warming / cooling (“ice ages”) in the last 1 million years.

The last 1 million years have been the coolest million years in the last 250 million years, the long-term trendline has been cooling for 250 million years.

No theory of climate change / global warming even begins to be credible UNLESS it plausibly explains the vast climate changes of the past fifty million years, at least, as global warmings and coolings and ice ages have come and gone and sea level has risen and fallen 400 feet or more again and again and again.

26 Sep 15 – Fairbanks had 6.7? yesterday (Fri.).  That obliterated the previous daily snowfall record of 0.8?.  Just north of Fairbanks, 9? was recorded.  Here’s more snowfall totals. Temps far below average A record low was set at Kodiak AK at 29 and small hail fell at Annette. The high temp. of 34 in Fairbanks was 15 deg. cooler than the average high of 49 for 9/25.  Here’s snow in Coldfoot AK.   Another wintry scene from Fairbanks. There are four harbors in Greenland, says Giaever. They are Upernavik, Iluissat/Jakobshavn, Nuuk/Godthab and Tasiilaq/Ammassalik.

Look at Giaever’s chart. On the left you see the five coldest years. On the right, the five warmest years.

Now look at the dates. “The warmest years are basically in the 1930s,” says Giaever. “Those are the facts. Those are the temperatures the people in the harbors in Greenland has measured over the years. And it doesn’t look like it’s getting any warmer.”
