Massive Cover-up Exposed: 285 Papers From 1960s-’80s Reveal Robust Global Cooling Scientific ‘Consensus’:

Beginning in 2003, software engineer William Connolley quietly removed the highly inconvenient references to the global cooling scare of the 1970s from Wikipedia, the world’s most influential and accessed informational source.

It had to be done.  Too many skeptics were (correctly) pointing out that the scientific “consensus” during the 1960s and 1970s was that the Earth had been cooling for decades, and that nascent theorizing regarding the potential for a CO2-induced global warming were still questionable and uncertain.

New Paper Indicates There Is More Arctic Sea Ice Now Than For Nearly All Of The Last 10,000 Years

New Paper Indicates There Is More Arctic Sea Ice Now Than For Nearly All Of The Last 10,000 Years:

Solar Forcing Of Modern, Historic Arctic Sea Ice

Only Slightly Less Sea Ice Now Than Little Ice Age

In a new paper (Stein et al., 2017), scientists find that Arctic sea ice retreat and advance is modulated by variations in solar activity.

In addition, the sea ice cover during the last century has only slightly retreated from the extent reached during coldest centuries of the Little Ice Age (1600s to 1800s AD), which had the highest sea ice cover of the last 10,000 years and flirted with excursions into year-round sea ice.

The Medieval Warm Period sea ice record (~900 to 1200 AD) had the lowest coverage since the Roman era ~2,000 years ago.

Australia: After heatwave, summer snow and coldest February in a decade

After heatwave, summer snow and coldest February in a decade:

An unseasonal cold front, moving north out of the Southern Ocean, brought chilly, squally winds and strong showers to coastal regions of Victoria on February 19 and 20, 2017, and about 5 to 10 cm (2 – 4 inches) of summer snow to the NSW and Victorian High Country, Australia. However, the summer is still not over, as hot and windy conditions are expected back in the region on Wednesday, February 22, bringing severe to extreme fire danger over much of Victoria.

Station At Germany’s Highest Summit Measures Midwinter Cooling Of Over -3°C Over Past 30 Years!

Station At Germany’s Highest Summit Measures Midwinter Cooling Of Over -3°C Over Past 30 Years!:

The summit of Germany’s tallest mountain, Zugspitze, located in the Bavarian Alps near the Austrian border, is 2,962 meters high and thus well isolated from any temperature data corruption sources, such as urban sprawl.

The weather station at the “Top of Germany” has measured 3°C of cooling for the month of January over the past thirty years. Photo cropped here.

The Zugspitze’s peak find itself at an elevation where global warming theory tells us the warming would really be most noticeable. However the January data over the past 30 years tell us a very different story. Instead of warming, the atmosphere at that location above Europe has been cooling, and doing so quite impressively.

Josef Kowatsch, a self proclaimed “active environmentalist and independent researcher” has crunched the data for January from Germany’s DWD National Weather Service himself and found the following for the Zugspitze station:

January mean temperature at the summit of the Zugspitze over the past 30 years has plummeted over 3°C. Chart: Josef Kowatsch.

He comments that our supposedly independent media — the DPA and the AFP — have maintained that “winter has been continuously warming. But this is how the warming looks at the Zugspitze.”

Insidious preindustrial warm phase: 4000 years ago glaciers in Norway had  almost completely melted away

By Dr. Sebastian Lüning and Prof. Fritz Vahrenholt
(German text translated/edited by P Gosselin)

The University of Bergen in Norway reported 14 February 2017 on the climate in Norway 4000 years ago, when in the summertime it was on average two to three degrees warmer than today. Most glaciers in the country at the time had almost completely melted away and gone. Instead of examining these what for many are unexpected warm phases, the team of authors in the press release chose to focus the public’s attention on concern and fear for the future.
