Duterte claims ‘never approached’ US for help in battle against Islamist militants (PHOTOS, VIDEO):

Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte has denied media reports claiming he requested US Special Forces assistance in the battle for Marawi City, saying on Sunday that he “never approached America” for help.
“I am not aware of that until they arrived,” Duterte said when discussing the latest developments in Marawi City.

They were killed because they could not cite verses of the Quran, Marawi police officer Jamail C Mangadang said.

“We Will Go To War; We Will Fight You”: China’s Xi Threatens Duterte If Philippines Drills For Oil

“We Will Go To War; We Will Fight You”: China’s Xi Threatens Duterte If Philippines Drills For Oil:

The Philippines’ outspoken president Rodrigo Duterte got a glimpse of the true snarling, belligerent Chinese dragon hiding behind the cheerful, globalist Panda facade earlier this week, when in response to a claim that his country was prepared to drill for oil in a disputed part of the South China Sea, China’s president Xi told him matter-of-factly that in that case he should prepare for war.

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte Says US Ambassadors Are CIA “Spies” As Alleged US Plot To Overthrow Him Emerges

Duterte Says US Ambassadors Are CIA “Spies” As Alleged US Plot To Overthrow Him Emerges:

Coming at an awkward time, just as the US accused Russia of doing (once again, without a shred of valid proof as opposed to a report which the DHS was quick to disown) what the CIA has done to other nations for decades, earlier today everyone’s favorite volatile, vulgar and outspoken Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte derided U.S. ambassadors as “spies”, responding to a media report of an alleged American plot to destabilize his government, a job he said some envoys were appointed solely to do.

Quoted by Reuters, the former mayor said though had received no intelligence reports of any U.S. plan to undermine his presidency, he believed most ambassadors were in cahoots with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), which had a track record of meddling in other countries’ affairs

Philippine President Duterte: “I Will Burn Down The United Nations”

Duterte: “I Will Burn Down The United Nations”:

The United Nations is making a lot of enemies.

Yesterday, when the Obama administration refused to veto a UN vote over Isreal settlements, one which provoked Israel to lash out at the Obama administration saying “friends don’t act that way”, but more importantly defied Trump who in a previous tweet urged Obama to veto the resolution, the President-elect had one message, or rather tweet, to the UN:

However, Trump is not the only one to hold a prominent grudge against the international organization, which many have accused of being nothing but an ineffective, if material, waste of taxpayer funds: taking Obama’s threat several steps further, Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte threatened to “burn down” the United Nations headquarters in New York, in response to mounting international criticism over his bloody crackdown on suspected drug dealers.

“You go and file a complaint in the United Nations, I will burn down the United Nations if you want,” Duterte said, quoted by the New York Times. “I will burn it down if I go to America,” he added during a speech at an army base in the country’s southern city of Zamboanga.

Philippines’ Duterte Says God Told Him To Stop Cursing

Philippines’ Duterte Says God Told Him To Stop Cursing:

The always entertaining, ever foul-mouthed Philippine president, who once called the Pope a “son of a bitch” and said Barack Obama is “son of a whore” and can “go to hell”, said God spoke to him during a flight from Japan on Thursday warning him the plane would crash if he kept using bad language, and has promised he will not spew expletives again.

President Rodrigo Duterte’s profanities have become his trademark, especially when threatening to kill drug dealers as part of his war on illegal drugs that has left thousands dead since he took office at the end of June. Duterte made the stunning pledge on arrival in his southern hometown of Davao city from a trip to Japan.

While flying home, he said “I was looking at the skies while I was coming over here … everybody was asleep, snoring, but a voice said that, ‘you know, if you don’t stop epithets, I will bring this plane down now’,” Duterte said at a news conference late on Thursday upon arrival in his home city of Davao.

“And I said, ‘who is this?’ So, of course, it’s God. OK. “So, I promise God … not to express slang, cuss words and everything.

“Make A Wish List” Russia Tells Duterte, As New Asian Axis Forms

“Make A Wish List” Russia Tells Duterte, As New Asian Axis Forms:

Yesterday, when Philippine president Duterte finally took the plunge to announce his “separation”  from the US (even if his government has backtracked somewhat today), he said that not only would he “realign” himself in China’s ideological flow but, in a nuance that was missed by many, said that “I will also go to Russia to talk to (President Vladimir) Putin and tell him that there are three of us against the world – China, Philippines and Russia. It’s the only way.”

To be sure, an offical axis between China, Russia and a nation that until recently was a core US ally in the Pacific Rim – whose loss would be a huge slap in the face of Obama and whoever replaced him as president – would be music to Putin’s ears, which is why just minutes after Philippine president announced his stunning separation from the US, Russia’s ambassador to the country promptly said Moscow is ready to provide assistance to and fully cooperate with Manila.

Philippine president announces ‘separation’ from US, wants to align with Russia and China:

PHILIPPINE President Rodrigo Duterte has announced his “separation” from the United States, declaring he has realigned with China as the two agreed to resolve their South China Sea dispute through talks.

Mr Duterte made his comments on Thursday in Beijing, where he is visiting with at least 200 business people to pave the way for what he calls a new commercial alliance as relations with longtime ally Washington deteriorate.

“In this venue, your honours, in this venue, I announce my separation from the United States,” Mr Duterte told Chinese and Philippine business people, to applause, at a forum in the Great Hall of the People attended by Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli. “Both in military, not maybe social, but economics also. America has lost.”

The US Just Officially Lost the Philippines to China

The US Just Officially Lost the Philippines to China:

Beijing — Having signaled for weeks his intent to wrest control of his country’s future away from the West, Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte officially pivoted toward China this week, saying it’s “only China that can help us” in the effort to make the Philippines a regional player.

President Duterte, at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, began a four-day visit to China on Tuesday. As Anti-Media reported last week, over 200 Filipino business leaders are accompanying him on his trip, all “eager to talk with Chinese business leaders and government officials about deals in a range of sectors.”

In comments made to China’s state-run newspaper, Xinhua, and published Monday, Duterte affirmed this attitude, saying:

‘Do not treat us like a doormat, you’ll be sorry for it’ – Philippines President Duterte to US

‘Do not treat us like a doormat, you’ll be sorry for it’ – Philippines President Duterte to US:

Plans for joint US-Philippines patrols and naval exercises in the disputed South China Sea have been put on hold, and 107 US troops operating drones surveilling Muslim militants will also have to leave the country soon, the Philippines Defense chief said.

President Rodrigo Duterte said he wants an ongoing US-Philippine amphibious beach landing drill to be the last in his six-year presidency, with plans to halt all the 28 military exercises carried out with US forces every year.

“This year would be the last,” Duterte pledged on Friday in Davao in the southern Philippines, AP reported.

“For as long as I am there, do not treat us like a doormat because you’ll be sorry for it,” he added. “I will not speak with you. I can always go to China.”

Philippine President Duterte Dares “Son Of A Bitch” Obama To “Withdraw Assistance”, While His Popularity Soars

Duterte Dares “Son Of A Bitch” Obama To “Withdraw Assistance”, While His Popularity Soars:

It has become an almost daily tradition to flip through the news looking for the latest insult by Philippine president Rodrigo Duterte hurled at US president Barack Obama.

Just this past Tuesday, Duterte outlined his disappointments with the US in his latest speech aimed at Obama whom he called “son of a bitch” several weeks ago, saying that “instead of helping us, the first to criticize is this State Department, so you can go to hell, Mr. Obama, you can go to hell,”

Fast forward to today when Duterte issued his latest verbal assault on the lame duck president, declaring he would not bow to foreign pressure over his anti-drug campaign, while his Foreign Secretary Perfecto Yasay declared that the US “has failed us.”

“I do not expect the human rights [groups], I do not expect Obama, I do not expect the EU to understand me,” said Duterte in a speech on Thursday. “Do not understand me. And if you think it’s high time for you guys to withdraw your assistance, go ahead. We will not beg for it.

Philippines President Compares Himself To Hitler, One Week After Telling Brussels “F**k You”

Philippines President Compares Himself To Hitler, One Week After Telling Brussels “F**k You”:

The world’s most entertaining, Tourette syndrome-plagued president, Philippines Rodrigo Duterte has just sparked another scandal.

As a reminder, one week ago, in his latest outburst, Duterte stunned reporters and officials when he responded to Europe’s condemnation of his government’s brutal anti-crime crackdown, when after an EU statement urged Duterte to put an end to the “extrajudicial killings” and launch an alternative campaign in line with international human rights laws, the president did not hold back in his response to Brussels and during a speech said: “I read the condemnation of the EU against me. I will tell them: ‘Fuck you.’ “You’re doing it in atonement for your sins.”

He accused the bloc of hypocrisy, saying a rudimental check of the history books showed European countries had killed thousands of people in the past.  “He added: And then the EU has the gall to condemn me. I repeat: “Fuck you.”

Fast forward one week, when Duterte compared himself to Adolf Hitler on Friday, and said he would “be happy” to exterminate three million drug users and peddlers in the country.

In yet another rambling, disjointed speech on his arrival in Davao City after a visit to Vietnam, Duterte told reporters that he had been “portrayed to be a cousin of Hitler” by critics. Explaining that Hitler had murdered millions of Jews, Duterte said: “There are three million drug addicts (in the Philippines). I’d be happy to slaughter them.

“If Germany had Hitler, the Philippines would have…,” he said, pausing and pointing to himself. “You know my victims. I would like (them) to be all criminals to finish the problem of my country and save the next generation from perdition.”

We aren’t ‘little brown brothers of America,’ don’t lecture us – Philippines FM

We aren’t ‘little brown brothers of America,’ don’t lecture us – Philippines FM:

The Philippines foreign minister has warned that his country will not be treated like a “little brown brother” to the US, and will not be lectured on human rights. It follows inflammatory statements made by the nation’s president about US President Barack Obama.

Speaking in Washington on Thursday, Foreign Minister Perfecto Yasay said: “I am asking our American friends, American leaders, to look at our aspirations. We cannot forever be the little brown brothers of America…we have to develop, we have to grow and become the big brother of our own people.”

“You [have to] manage it correctly. You do not go to the Philippines and say, ‘I am going to give you something, I am going to help you grow, but this is the checklist you must comply with – we will lecture you on human rights,’” he said, as quoted by Reuters.

Yasay went on to stress, however, that the country’s president is still “firmly committed to keep and respect alliances, including that with the United States.”
