European Union Tells Hungary and Poland To Accept Mass Migration Or Leave – #MigrantCrisis

European Union Tells Hungary and Poland To Accept Mass Migration Or Leave:

France and Germany, along with a host of up to 21 other countries, are set to demand Hungary and Poland either accept migrants under the quota system or leave the European Union (EU).

The two nations have ignored Brussels’ insistence that they take migrants presently residing in great numbers in Italy and Greece. Public opinion in Hungary and Poland is also strongly against being forced to accept thousands of migrants from non-European cultures.

Hungary Begins Detaining Migrants in ‘Container Villages’ Amidst Protests from EU – #MigrantCrisis

Hungary Begins Detaining Migrants in ‘Container Villages’ Amidst Protests from EU:

The Hungarian government has begun the process of relocating asylum seekers into two “container villages” while the European Court of Human rights (ECHR) has fought against the move.

Officials in the Central European country have erected 324 residential units across two different “villages” for migrants with ongoing asylum applications. The villages will house migrants of all ages, including those who are underage. The ECHR has taken exception to the policy ruling that at least eight underage asylum seekers should not be housed in the new residences, Die Zeit reports.

The Hungarian government announced the move to relocate and limit the ability for migrants to move around the country in February with an estimated 586 migrants to be transferred to the new villages. Security adviser of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, György Bakondi, said Tuesday: “From today on, the expanded transit zone will be operational 24 hours a day.”

Hungary Approves Detention of all Asylum Seekers:

BUDAPEST (AFP) – Hungary’s parliament on Tuesday approved the automatic detention of all asylum-seekers in container camps at the country’s southern borders, brushing off concerns from rights groups.

The legislation, approved by a large majority of lawmakers, is in response to recent terror attacks in Europe carried out by migrants, according to hardline Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

All asylum-seekers entering Hungary as well as those currently in the country will be detained or moved to the container camps.

Hungarian inmates build second anti-immigrant fence along Serbian border (Video)

Watch. Hungarian inmates build second anti-immigrant fence along Serbian border:

Called a ‘smart fence’ because of an array of sensors – motion detectors, night vision cameras and heat detectors – attached to it to detect anyone approaching, the new border defence barrier being built in Hungary is state-of-the-art. It is reportedly also electrified, in order to shock those who touch it. To expedite the building of the barrier, Hungary has ordered prisoners to assist with erecting the barricade. Construction on the 150km long, 4.5 metres high fence started on 1 March. Construction also includes a detention camp near the Röszke border crossing, designed to hold up to 300 people. Those refugees and migrants seeking entrance to Hungary will have to wait there for their application process to be completed.

The building of the fence starts after Hungary has decided to extend the state of national emergency for another six months in view of the dangers presented by the 800,000 people stuck in the Balkans, unable to return to Turkey. Measures also include limiting the freedom of movement of migrants and strengthening the border with the above-mentioned second fence.

It is as yet unclear if Orbán is going to make the Serbs pay for it. Wink.

Hungary To Defend European Border By Detaining All Migrants

Hungary To Defend European Border By Detaining All Migrants:

Hungary is set to introduce plans to detain all migrants entering the country until their asylum applications have been fully processed – a move the government says it expects will go off “like a bomb” in Brussels.

Arguing that there can be no freedom without security, the Hungarian government’s chief spokesman, Zoltán Kovács, told an audience in London: “We are going to introduce new measures: no migrants, not even those who have already issued their request for asylum, can move freely. Whether they are entitled to political asylum, refugee status or anything else.”

Survey: Majority of Europeans In 10 Countries Want Halt to Muslim Migration:

A new study on European attitudes toward Muslim migration has revealed that 55 per cent of Europeans in ten different countries want a halt to migration from majority Muslim nations.

The study was carried out by Chatham House, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, and surveyed European attitudes to Muslim migration in the UK, Belgium, Germany, Greece, Poland, Italy, Hungary, France, Austria, and Spain. The 10,000 people surveyed were asked whether they agreed with the statement, “All further migration from mainly Muslim countries should be stopped”.

Apart from Spain (41 per cent) and the UK (47 per cent), a majority in every country wanted a ban on Muslim immigrants. Across all countries, an average of 20 per cent disagreed with the statement, and in no country did the percentage that disagreed surpass 32 per cent.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Accuses Soros Of Seeking To Bring Down His Government

Hungarian Foreign Minister Accuses Soros Of Seeking To Bring Down His Government:

A climactic showdown between Hungary and George Soros is rapidly approaching.

Three weeks after Hungary announced it would launch a crackdown on all George Soros-funded non-governmental organizations, the country’s foreign minister doubled down, and told RT that the activities of NGOs funded by George Soros in Hungary are “anti-democratic,” as they want to undermine the government in Budapest.

Soros “would like this government to fail, he would like to kind of fire this government because he doesn’t like our approach, doesn’t like our policies,” Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto told RT’s Sophie Shevardnadze. “We find it very anti-democratic if someone from abroad would like to influence Hungarian voters on whom to vote for,” he asserted. Several days before the interview, the Hungarian parliament began to discuss a bill allowing authorities to audit NGO executives and request detailed reports on their foreign donations.

Hungarian Government To Train 3,000 ‘Border Hunters’:

The Hungarian government is planning to beef up security on its border with Serbia by training a further 3,000 “Border Hunter” personnel to aid existing forces.

Hungarian law states that a mere fifteen asylum seekers are allowed into the central European country per day and the government is looking to boost the number of border agents to maintain tight security. Many migrants still try and enter Hungary illegally and the government hopes that the increased presence will allow authorities to capture and return migrants to Serbia as timely as possible Kurier reports.

‘Bunch of Softies’ Jobbik Block Migrant Ban Against Wishes of Hungarian People

‘Bunch of Softies’ Jobbik Block Migrant Ban Against Wishes of Hungarian People:

BUDAPEST, (Reuters) – Hungary’s government will not resubmit a law to ban the resettlement of migrants after parliament narrowly rejected the plan this week, Prime Minister Viktor Orban told state radio on Friday.

Orban had said the amendment was needed to honour an October referendum, in which more than three million Hungarians, an overwhelming majority of those who voted, rejected EU quotas stipulating how many migrants member states must accept.

The far-right opposition Jobbik party sealed the bill’s rejection by boycotting the vote on Tuesday. It said it would throw its support behind the ban if Orban scrapped a separate government bond scheme that allows foreigners to buy residency rights.

Migrant crisis: Hungary MPs reject Orban anti-refugee bill:

Hungary’s parliament has rejected an attempt by Prime Minister Viktor Orban to block the settlement of refugees.

His ruling Fidesz party failed to attract the two opposition votes necessary for a two-thirds majority in parliament.

The bill had sought to rebuff an EU-set quota scheme that would relocate 1,294 refugees in Hungary.

It was the latest move in Mr Orban’s anti-EU and anti-migrant drive, say correspondents.

Hungarian Govt Blasts ‘Ignorant’ Western Coverage of Immigration Referendum

Exclusive: Hungarian Govt Blasts ‘Ignorant’ Western Coverage of Immigration Referendum:

BUDAPEST, Hungary — Hungarian government spokesman  Zoltán Kovács has criticised Western Media for their coverage of Hungarian political affairs, accusing them of uncritically reproducing information broadcast by minor opposition movements in the country and exercising an ignorance of Hungary in their coverage.

An overwhelming majority of voters rejected the mandatory migrant redistribution plans of the European Union (EU) in Hungary on Sunday, with 98 per cent voting to reject the bloc’s plan.

The aftermath of the referendum has seen Western media argue over the validity of the vote as it didn’t reach the 50 per cent turnout threshold, and to question the policies of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s government.

Spokesman for the Hungarian government  Zoltán Kovács sat down with Breitbart London in his office in Budapest. He didn’t mince words when it came to the Western media.

Hungary to Amend Constitution to Block EU Migrant Plan

Hungary to Amend Constitution to Block EU Migrant Plan:

“Brussels or Budapest, that was the question, and the people said Budapest.”

  • The Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia, all former Communist countries, also oppose the EU plan to relocate 160,000 “asylum seekers,” which they say is an “EU diktat” that infringes on national sovereignty.
  • “One of the principals underpinning the system is the primacy of EU law.” — Margaritis Schinas, chief spokesperson for European Commission.
  • “In the early autumn of 2015 we erected a fence on the external green border of the European Union and the Schengen Area. This was to protect the European Union’s greatest achievement: free movement within the common area of the internal market…. We do not want to distribute the migration burdens falling on Europe, but we want to eliminate them: to put an end to them.” — Hungarian President Viktor Orbán, July 11, 2016.
  • “We do not like the consequences of having a large number of Muslim communities that we see in other countries… That is a historical experience for us.” — Hungarian President Viktor Orbán, September 3, 2015.
  • “We lose our European values and identity the way frogs are cooked in slowly-heating water. Quite simply, slowly there will be more and more Muslims, and we will no longer recognize Europe.” — Hungarian President Viktor Orbán, September 30, 2016.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has proposed amending the Constitution to prevent the European Union from settling migrants in Hungary without the approval of Parliament.

In a speech on October 4, Orbán said the amendment would be presented to Parliament on October 10, and, if approved, it would come into effect on November 8.

Hungarian Government: Trump ‘Philosophy on Migration’ Aligns With Ours:

BUDAPEST, Hungary — In an exclusive interview with Breitbart London, Hungarian government spokesman Zoltán Kovács talked about Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and how Hungary feels abandoned by the Obama administration.

Mr. Kovács was asked which candidate he and his government see as the most favourable for Hungary and for tackling the crisis of migration that currently affects both Europe and America.

“If it’s about migration, which seems to be the most acute challenge we face, it’s definitely true that Mr. Trump and the conservative philosophy on migration is a lot closer to us,” he said adding, “It is basically representing what we think about it. Therefore in terms of that element of foreign policy: Trump.”
