– AFGHANISTAN: Former child bride has her ears hacked off by her husband after he accused her of speaking to other men:

 Zarina from Afghanistan was forced into marriage at the age of 13 and her husband is on the run having attacked her.

UK Daily Mail  (h/t John H) The couple were sleeping at their home in the northern province of Balkh when he suddenly woke her up, bound her and mutilated her.  Zarina said her husband had tried to stop her from seeing her parents, and that she wanted to divorce him. ‘He is a very suspicious man and often accused me of talking to strange men when I went to visit my parents,’ she told Tolo News.

Girls as young as six in Afghanistan are being forced to marry men old enough to be their grandfather and into a life of sexual slavery, beatings, pregnancies and death during childbirth.

A 34-year-old bouncer at a gay nightclub in Cologne was stabbed over the weekend by an Iraqi asylum seeker after he refused him entry at the door.

The attack occurred early Saturday morning at a gay nightclub in Cologne called Iron on Schaafenstrasse just over a mile away from the Cologne cathedral, which was the site of mass sex attacks on New Year’s Eve in 2015/2016. The 21-year-old Iraqi tried to gain access to the club with two of his friends, aged 17 and 21, Kölnische Rundschau reports.

The Dutch government should acknowledge in public the fact that it’s very difficult to pick out jihadists from asylum seekers, criminologists have argued.

Writing in daily newspaper NRC, university of Amsterdam researchers Joris van Wijk and Maarten Bolhuis say the public’s expectations that the government is able to screen would-be terrorists from asylum seekers are unrealistic.

BRUSSELS (AP) — Europe’s top court says an asylum request can be rejected if the person seeking protection has links to a terrorist group.

The case concerns Moroccan national Mostafa Lounani, who was jailed for six years in Belgium for helping to make forged documents as part of a network sending volunteer jihadis to Iraq.

Lounani applied for refugee status because he feared persecution if he were sent back to Morocco because of his prison sentence.

In yet another instance of the unravelling of Sweden’s social fabric, three men, 19, 24 and 25 years of age and supposedly from a migrant background, have been arrested for the aggravated rape of a Swedish woman (30), which they yesterday live streamed on a closed Facebook group.

The 24 year old suspect was known to the police, as he had been arrested before on drug and assault related offences. Last April, he was conditionally released from a four-month prison sentence, Expressen reports.

Josefine Lundgren, a young woman who witnessed the live stream and alerted the police, says one of the men pulled out a gun and taunted viewers by daring them to come over to the apartment where the three men resided. “He pulled off her clothes and lay on top of her,” Lundgren recalls.

ATHENS, Greece (AP) — Greek authorities are investigating the deaths of three migrants over the past week in a camp on the eastern Aegean Sea island of Lesbos.

Two of the men, an Egyptian and a Syrian national, were found dead in their tents in the Moria camp last week. A third migrant, a Pakistani, died in his tent Monday.

Initial indications suggest they were poisoned by fumes from stoves lit inside the tents to counter bitter winter conditions.
