Works if you really have no space to dig deep, but at best you get just over 1lb or half a kilo for each seed potato, so a family will struggle if deep fried chips are the norm.
A tip- leave them in the bag until needed, up till next spring and sprinkle slug pellets during autumn & winter to minimise slugs eating the crop.
Also, water them regularly during summer, and ensure no spuds are on the surface as it will turn green & toxic in the sun…..keep them covered up.
