On Sunday, December 7, 1941, Japan launched a sneak attack on the U.S. Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbor, shattering the peace of a beautiful Hawaiian morning and leaving much of the fleet broken and burning. The destruction and death that the Japanese military visited upon Pearl Harbor that day — 18 naval vessels (including eight battleships) sunk or heavily damaged, 188 planes destroyed, over 2,000 servicemen killed — were exacerbated by the fact that American commanders in Hawaii were caught by surprise. But that was not the case in Washington. Comprehensive research has shown not only that Washington knew in advance of the attack, but that it deliberately withheld its foreknowledge from our commanders in Hawaii in the hope that the “surprise” attack would catapult the U.S. into World War II. Oliver Lyttleton, British Minister of Production, stated in 1944: “Japan was provoked into attacking America at Pearl Harbor. It is a travesty of history to say that America was forced into the war.”
Although FDR desired to directly involve the United States in the Second World War, his intentions sharply contradicted his public pronouncements. A pre-war Gallup poll showed 88 percent of Americans opposed U.S. involvement in the European war. Citizens realized that U.S. participation in World War I had not made a better world, and in a 1940 (election-year) speech, Roosevelt typically stated: “I have said this before, but I shall say it again and again and again: Your boys are not going to be sent into any foreign wars.”

Clausewitz famously said that war is “politics by other means.” Today, mass-murdering Americans in false-flag attacks to start wars against Israel’s enemies is “Near East Policy by Other Means.” This treasonous “policy” is being openly and shamelessly advocated by the pro-Israel think tank WINEP, the Washington Institute for Near East Policy.
Last night, I helped break the story that WINEP representative Patrick Clawson has openly called for the mass murder of Americans in a false-flag attack to launch a war on Iran. (Watch the video – it must be seen to be believed.)
Today, it has emerged that WINEP is also behind a recent Washington Post op-ed calling for 9/11 truthers, like Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi, to be silenced.
According to Clawson, false-flag attacks and other orchestrated war-trigger events in which hundreds or thousands of Americans are murdered are “the traditional way [that] America gets to war is what would be best for US interests.” He pointed out that when US presidents want to go to war, they “have to wait for” incidents like the staged murder of sailors on the USS Maine, the orchestrated slaughter of the passengers on the Lusitania, the Pearl Harbor attack set up by Roosevelt’s eight-point-plan, and the hoaxed Gulf of Tonkin incident. (He started to mention Israel’s murder of American sailors on the USS Liberty, but caught himself in time.)
What he didn’t say, but certainly implied, was that America’s “war on terror,” actually a war on Islam for Israel, “had to wait for” the false-flag attack of 9/11.

Today’s nominee for the Larry Silverstein Award for Chutzpah Beyond the Call of Duty: Israel lobbyist Patrick Clawson, who is openly calling for the mass murder of Americans, along the lines of the USS Maine, Lusitania, Pearl Harbor, USS Liberty, and (by implication) 9/11 orchestrated war-trigger events.
If we’re going to murder anybody to start a war, I suggest slowly disemboweling Patrick Clawson, then declaring war on Israel in retaliation for 9/11.

Last Friday, during question time at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy policy forum luncheon on “How to Build US-Israeli Coordination on Preventing an Iranian Nuclear Breakout,” the director of research at the pro-Israel think tank hinted that a Pearl Harbor-type attack might be necessary to get the United States to go to war against the Islamic Republic.
“I frankly think that crisis initiation is really tough,” said Patrick Clawson, who also heads the Washington Institute’s Iran Security Initiative, in response to a question about what would happen if negotiations with Tehran fail. “And it’s very hard for me to see how the United States … uh … President can get us to war with Iran.”
As a consequence, Clawson said he was led to conclude that “the traditional way [that] America gets to war is what would be best for US interests.”
Intriguingly, he went on to recount a series of controversial incidents in American history — the attack on Pearl Harbor, the sinking of the Lusitania, the Gulf of Tonkin incident, and the blowing up of the USS Maine — that US presidents “had to wait for” before taking America to war.
“And may I point out that Mr. Lincoln did not feel he could call out the federal army until Fort Sumter was attacked,” Clawson continued, “which is why he ordered the commander at Fort Sumter to do exactly that thing which the South Carolinians had said would cause an attack.”
“So, if in fact the Iranians aren’t going to compromise,” the Israel lobbyist concluded with a smirk on his face, “it would be best if somebody else started the war.”

Update: It’s worth noting that op-ed in the Jerusalem Post magazine earlier this year raised the possibility of just such an attack. In a piece entitled “The looming war with Iran,” Avi Perry, who served as an intelligence expert for the Israeli government, confidently predicted:

Oh, really? Maybe you should ask all the those people who made billions of dollars shorting Fanny Mae, Freddie Mac, AIG, Lehman Brothers, General Motors, Chrysler, Citigroup, Wachovia, Washington Mutual, Bank of America etc.

Jan. 19 (Bloomberg) — The U.S. is facing an “economic Pearl Harbor” that has spread fear throughout the country, billionaire investor Warren Buffett told Tom Brokaw in an interview broadcast yesterday on Dateline NBC.
“We have a negative feedback cycle going on right now,” Buffett said, according to a transcript of the interview on CNBC’s Web site. “We have fear which leads to people not wanting to spend, and not wanting to make investments. And that leads to more fear.”
Buffett, the chairman of Berkshire Hathaway Inc., said Barack Obama is “the absolute right commander in chief” to guide the country through the financial crisis. Obama, 47, will be sworn in as the 44th U.S. president tomorrow in Washington.

Will Bush Play “Get-Out-of-Jail-Free” Card?
I just listened to Vincent Bugliosi talking to Bobby Kennedy about his plan to prosecute Bush for murder. (Listen here.)
It sounds like Bugliosi has an airtight case. If Bush leaves 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue next January, there should be a squad car waiting to pick him up.
Even if he somehow dodges the murder rap, sooner or later Bush will face dozens of charges of war crimes, kidnapping, torture, electoral fraud, maybe even high treason against the Constitution of the United States of America. Bush is a good bet to be our first ex-president to spend the rest of his life behind bars.
I say IF Bush leaves office next January because…well, he’d have to be crazy to step down.
Bush only has one card left to play: The get-out-of-jail-free card.
Set off a nuclear or biological weapon on American soil. Blame the usual suspects, “Muslim terrorists,” and link them to Pakistan or Iran. Attack Pakistan or Iran, invoke Presidential Directive 51, suspend the Constitution, declare martial law, intern dissidents and Muslims in FEMA camps, seize control of the other branches of government, and suspend the elections “until order has been restored.”
A high-risk move? Sure. But cornered rats sometimes make high-risk moves.

AJ: He is back with us. He is former Bob Dole’s chief of staff, very successful counselor, lawyer. He represents hundreds of the victims families of 9/11. He is suing Bush for involvement in 9/11. Now a major Zogby poll out – half of New Yorkers think the government was involved in 9/11. And joining us for the next 35 minutes, into the next hour, is Stanley Hilton. Stanley, it’s great to have you on with us.
SH: Glad to be on.
AJ: We’ll have to recap this when we start the next hour, but just in a nutshell, you have a lawsuit going, you’ve deposed a lot of military officers. You know the truth of 9/11. Just in a nutshell, what is your case alleging?
SH: Our case is alleging that Bush and his puppets Rice and Cheney and Mueller and Rumsfeld and so forth, Tenet, were all involved not only in aiding and abetting and allowing 9/11 to happen but in actually ordering it to happen. Bush personally ordered it to happen. We have some very incriminating documents as well as eye-witnesses, that Bush personally ordered this event to happen in order to gain political advantage, to pursue a bogus political agenda on behalf of the neocons and their deluded thinking in the Middle East. I also wanted to point out that, just quickly, I went to school with some of these neocons. At the University of Chicago, in the late 60s with Wolfowitz and Feith and several of the others and so I know these people personally. And we used to talk about this stuff all of the time. And I did my senior thesis on this very subject – how to turn the U.S. into a presidential dictatorship by manufacturing a bogus Pearl Harbor event. So, technically this has been in the planning at least 35 years.
AJ: That’s right. They were all Straussian followers of a Nazi-like professor. And now they are setting it up here in America. Stanley, I know you deposed a lot of people and you’ve got your $7 million dollar lawsuit with hundreds of the victim’s families involved.
SH: 7 billion, 7 billion
AJ: Yeah, 7 billion. Can you go over some of the new and incriminating evidence you’ve got of them ordering the attack?
