– Amish farmer sold herbal health products. He’s going to prison for 6 years:
An Amish man was sentenced Friday to six years in prison for obstructing a federal agency and for making and selling herbal health products that were not adequately labeled as required by federal law.
Samuel A. Girod of Bath County, a member of the Old Order Amish faith, was convicted in March on 13 charges, including threatening a person in an attempt to stop him from providing information to a grand jury.
U.S. District Judge Danny Reeves repeatedly asked Girod in court if he wished to make a statement but Girod refused. Girod, who represented himself, does not acknowledge that the court has jurisdiction.
“I do not waive my immunity to this court,” Girod told the judge. “I do not consent.”

– Amish Man Sentenced To Six Years In Prison For Not Seeking FDA Approval:
Kentucky — “I am not a creation of state/government, as such I am not within its jurisdiction.”
Those words were written by Samuel Girod in a document filed in a Kentucky federal court in June. Girod is an Amish farmer who was convicted in March of selling herbal health products that, as reported by the Lexington Herald-Leader on Friday, “were not adequately labeled as required by federal law.”

– FDA Wants to Jail Sam Girod for 48 Years, for Making Salves People Love:
Sam Girod is a Kentucky farmer who runs a small business selling natural skin salves made from herbs such as chickweed, which seem to help relieve a host of skin conditions, including allergic rashes, psoriasis, poison oak and even skin cancers.
If you look up chickweed on Amazon, you will find pages of chickweed products, dozens and dozens of products, in some cases followed by glowing testimonials from users about how this or that chickweed provided relief from terrible itching, and even cured their skin cancers.

Flashback:
– Family that fled to Central America to stop Amish girl, 10, from getting chemotherapy claim her cancer is GONE thanks to natural remedies (Daly Mail, Nov 29, 2013):
An Ohio Amish girl diagnosed with leukemia who had fled the U.S. with her family to avoid chemotherapy has been cured after being treated with natural remedies in Central America, according to her grandfather. Doctors fought the family’s decision to end chemotherapy, saying Sarah Hershberger would die without it within six months.
Issac Keim told the Akron Beacon Journal that his granddaughter Sarah recently celebrated her 11th birthday and seems vibrant and healthy.
According to Mr Keim, blood and imaging tests indicated that Sarah’s cancer is gone.
– 10 outrageous (but true) facts about vaccines the CDC and the vaccine industry don’t want you to know (Natural News, Sep 11, 2013):
Prepare to be shocked. Here are 10 outrageous (but true) facts about vaccines the CDC and the vaccine industry don’t want you to know:
FACT #1) Yes, mercury is still used in vaccines, and the CDC openly admits it. There is NO safe level of mercury for injecting into a human child. Not even “trace” levels. There is NO evidence of safety for mercury at any dose whatsoever. Any doctor who says the level of mercury in a vaccine is “safe” to inject into a child is only demonstrating their outrageous ignorance of scientific facts.
Mercury is arguably the most neurotoxic element on the entire Table of Elements. It is used in vaccines for the convenience of the vaccine manufacturer at the expense of the safety of the child. Any doctor who injects mercury into a child — at any dose! — should be immediately stripped of their medical license.

– Amish farm kids remarkably immune to allergies: study (Reuters, May 4, 2012):
NEW YORK (Reuters Health) – Amish children raised on rural farms in northern Indiana suffer from asthma and allergies less often even than Swiss farm kids, a group known to be relatively free from allergies, according to a new study.
“The rates are very, very low,” said Dr. Mark Holbreich, the study’s lead author. “So there’s something that we feel is even more protective in the Amish” than in European farming communities.
What it is about growing up on farms — and Amish farms in particular — that seems to prevent allergies remains unclear.
Just look at the ‘terrible health effects’ of RAW MILK:
– Calf Fed On Raw Milk Versus Calf Fed On Pasteurized Milk (Must-See Pics)
Pasteurization destroys all enzymes that were supposed to help you to digest the milk and to promote your health.

– Judge stops farmer’s sale of raw milk to Maryland (Lancaster Online, Feb. 11, 2012):
A federal District Court judge has ordered a Kinzers farmer to stop selling raw milk to customers in Maryland.
Judge Lawrence Stengel issued a permanent injunction Feb. 2 barring Amish dairyman Daniel Allgyer from sending the unpasteurized beverage across state lines to Grassfed on The Hill, a Washington, D.C.-area buying club.
The action capped a two-year undercover investigation of Allgyer and the club by the federal Food and Drug Administration.
In his opinion, Stengel discounted an arrangement by which a private group, Right to Choose Healthy Food’s Rawesome Club, was leasing Allgyer’s cows and distributing milk to Grassfed on The Hill members.
Buyers each paid a $25 fee to join the Rawesome Club, according to court papers.

The Bush administration on Thursday urged a federal judge to dismiss a lawsuit brought by a group of Amish farmers in Michigan claiming RFID chips required on cattle “are a mark of the beast.”
The Amish farmers claim (.pdf) Michigan regulations requiring them to use radio frequency identification devices on their cattle “constitutes some form of a ‘mark of the beast‘ and/or represents an infringement of their ‘dominion over cattle and all living things’ in violation of their fundamental religious beliefs,” according to the farmers’ lawsuit filed in September in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
