Sydney: Two Feet Of Hail – Seven Factories Collapse Under The Weight (Video)

Two feet of hail in Sydney – Seven factories collapse under the weight – Video (Ice Age Now, April 25, 2015):

At Eastern Creek seven factories collapsed after more than 50 cm (almost 2 feet) of hail dumped on parts of western Sydney.
Seven workers were lucky to make it out alive after the downpour.

“I couldn’t believe it, it was like we were walking through snow,” NSW Fire and Rescue’s Supt Paul Johnstone said.

“I’ve never seen so much hail fall in one location. The factories just collapsed under the weight of the hail.

The Inner West suburbs of Marrickville and Newtown were blanketed in hail stones, turning many of the streets into snowfields that reached knee height.

Kids made snow men, slid on cardboard boxes and threw balls of ice. Football matches were halted, power was cut and roads turned into rivers.
