– Dr Fauci says he ‘won’t be taking sides’ on NYC Mayor Eric Adams’ controversial vaccine exemption for famous athletes and performers after firing over 1,000 city employees for not getting the jab:

• Fauci, 81, spoke to Fox News’ Neil Cavuto and seemed hesitant to take a side on the situation 
• ‘I’m not there on the ground in New York,’ Fauci said. ‘I don’t have a good feel for what the situation is. So, it really is a tough problem’ 
• When Cavuto pushed Fauci on the idea of just one vaccination rule for everyone, Fauci again hedged 
• ‘I don’t want to be taking sides on that,’ he said. ‘I think that the mayor had a difficult decision to make, as you mentioned, when you introduced the topic’ 
• Unvaccinated New York City workers who were fired from their jobs for not getting their shots, unleashed fury on Adams on Thursday 
• Adams held a press conference at Citi Field to announce that he was lifting the ban on unvaccinated big league jocks from competing in sports
