Heavy snow for the northern mountains……a prolonged period of moderate to heavy snow for the north central mountains Saturday night through Sunday night…beginning to decrease on Monday.

Heaviest snow totals expected along higher west and southwest facing slopes, north of the I-70 corridor. In addition, southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph may produce areas of blowing snow over mountain passes, including Cameron and Rabbit Ears.

Rabbit Ears Pass-Rocky Mountain National Park and the Medicine Bow Range-Including the cities of East Slopes Park and Northern Gore Ranges, Gore Pass, Rabbit Ears Pass, Cameron Pass, Laramie and Medicine Bow Mountains, Rabbit Ears Range, Rocky Mountain National Park, and Willow Creek Pass

…WINTER STORM WARNING FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 5 AM MONDAY…

* Heavy snow expected. Plan on difficult travel conditions. Total snow accumulations of 8 to 16 inches, with localized amounts up to 24 inches (60 cm), are expected
