Worst in 32 years: Scottish ‘summer’ is the third worst since records began 107 years ago:

The only summers with more rainfall were 1948 and 1985

SCOTLAND’S summer is set to have become the third wettest since records began 107 years ago – with rainfall up almost 50 per cent for many as forecasters dubbed the past three months a “summer shocker.”

416.2mm of rain fell on average across Scotland from June 1 to August 30, Met Office figures show.
