7 missing, at least 3 injured as US Navy destroyer crashes into trade ship off Japan coast:

Seven US Navy sailors are missing and at least three are injured, including the commander of the USS Fitzgerald, which collided with a merchant vessel near Yokosuka, Japan, according to a US Pacific Fleet spokesman. US sailors reportedly called the Japanese Coast Guard for assistance.

  1. Do you know, what is interesting in this? Beside the fact, that the ship is much weaker than many would believe…

    It has huge damage under water level, something like L-shaped hole, meter wide and 2x 3 meter high and wide legs, over two levels.
    They do not show it to you on any of hundreds photographs that are available, almost all original photographs of it are censored now.

    Everyone should be content with the photos of above-water damage to some structure, that caused it to take huge amount of water, that is being pumped out as it goes, and made it not able to drive itself, as another boat should draw it ?

    The boat have sunk so deep, that the damage is under water level now, but on original night photos from the incident it was visible… (I’ve seen one)
    It’s also visible, that it is made from just a 1 inch thick plate…
