WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW ABOVE 6000 FEET… FROM 3 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 9 AM SATURDAY.
* IMPACTS/TIMING: A COLD RAIN WILL TRANSITION TO WET SNOW THIS AFTERNOON AND REMAIN AS SNOW OVERNIGHT IN AND AROUND GLACIER NATIONAL PARK.
SNOW ACCUMULATION ON GOING TO THE SUN ROAD MAY BE
DIFFICULT TO ACHIEVE, HOWEVER ANY UNPAVED ROADS OR TRAILS WITHIN THE PARK OR THE SURROUNDING HIGHER TERRAIN/FORESTED AREAS WILL BECOME SNOW COVERED TONIGHT.THOSE BACKPACKING OR HIKING AROUND THE PARK LATER TODAY OR EARLY SATURDAY SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS.
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: GENERALLY 1 TO 3 INCHES WITH THE HIGHER PEAKS RECEIVING UP TO 8 INCHES BY SATURDAY MORNING.
