– Actual Fukushima worker suspects an explosion caused 8.5t of water leakage (Fukushima Diary, Feb. 4, 2012):
Following up this article ..301,750,000 Bq leaked from reactor 4
A Fukushima worker Happy20790 commented 8.5tones of water would take too long to leak from the pipe (Internal diameter 6mm).

The gauge of jet pomp, where the 8.5 tones of water is supposed to have leaked is attached to diffuser.?It’s at the low part of the reactor.

That means the water must have “splashed” with strong hydraulic head pressure but there is no evidence to prove such a “splash” have happened. Another possibility is that water leaked slowly from the valve in dry well, but it must have taken days to leak no less than 8.5 tones of water.

and I can’t understand why the plug was taken off. I saw the picture but the pipe wasn’t cut. It’s gotten the plug taken off. The nut wasn’t loose. It must have needed a lot of impact stress to take off the plug because it uses hexagon cap nut. I wonder if it was because earthquake or explosion..

It can’t be congelation because I haven’t seen such an accident outside. and there are a lot similar to this but all the rests are safe.

I suspect the 8.5tones of leaked water is from a different part of the 6L of leakage. I guess it’s from the valve in dry well. They announced the water is from the jetpomp pipe but the internal diameter is only 6mm. It takes too long to leak 8.5 tones of water.
