War President Obama honored for peace: Obama’s tricky moment

“War is Peace.”  Change we can believe in!

WASHINGTON – He’s the Nobel Peace Prize winner who just ordered 30,000 more troops to war. He’s the laureate who says he doesn’t deserve the award. He’s not quite 11 months on the job and already in the company of Mother Teresa and the Dalai Lama.

This is President Barack Obama’s Nobel moment, an immense honor shadowed by awkward timing.

When Obama leaves for Oslo, Norway, on Wednesday to be lauded for his style of international diplomacy, he goes knowing that the American people are more concerned about something else: peace of mind.

The economy has left millions of them hurting. The mood of the country is dispirited – more people than not think the nation is going in the wrong direction – and soothing news is tough to find. Unemployment is in double digits even as the bleeding of jobs has slowed.

Meanwhile, there is no hiding the contrast of war and peace.

President Obama wins Nobel Peace Prize and hell freezes over!

Explain this:
President Obama nominated for Nobel Peace Prize less then two weeks after Inauguration!!!

The future created by Obamanomics and the Fed:
obama_change

Let’s take a look at what Obama has done:

* War mongered against Iran, even though he has known about this facility for at least a year, and has known of all sensitive materials that were moved into it for at least 6 months.

* Been hypocritical on torture: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

* Expanded the war in Afghanistan.

* Supported a fraudulent election in Afghanstian, in which Karzai, used the assistance of a one of the country’s “most notorious militia leaders” to gain support.

* Says he will leave up to 50,000 troops in Iraq even after “ending military operations.”

* Extended Blackwater’s (aka Xe’s) military contracts, Blackwater which has gone virtually unaccountable for its crimes.

* Expanded the use of military contractors.

* Helped give us an annual $1.4 trillion deficit, 3 times larger than the previous largest annual deficit.

* Hypocritical on the Defense of Marriage Act and Don’t Ask Don’t Tell.

* Says he does not need Congressional authority to hold detainees indefinitely.

* Continues to spy on peace groups through “fusion centers.”

* Issued signing statements, meaning that he will selectively choose to enforce parts of a law.

* Withdrew support for a bill to force financial firms to offer at least some “plain vanilla” products.

President Obama nominated for Nobel Peace Prize less then two weeks after Inauguration!!!

How do you want to explain this?

obama-christ
Obama
Christ

Yes, less then two weeks after he became President, he was nominated for this esteemed prize!

Wow, he really must be an over acheiver, a mover and a shaker, or something like that?

How is it possible that Obama is nominated and wins a Nobel Peace Prize, when he only became President, just two weeks before the nomination deadline. Yes, you read that right!

Just shy of TWO weeks (12 days to be exact) before the nominations deadline, Obama becomes President.

Mr Obama became the U.S. president less than two weeks before the February 1 nomination deadline.

Just to be sure that the information was correct, I checked at NobelPrize.org, and sure enough
in the section- “How are Nobel Laureates Selected”.

It says, and I quote-

FebruaryDeadline for submission. The Committee bases its assessment on nominations that must be postmarked no later than 1 February each year. Nominations postmarked and received after this date are included in the following year’s discussions. In recent years, the Committee has received close to 200 different nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize. The number of nominating letters is much higher, as many are for the same candidates.

And Obama was, of course, inaugurated on January 20th/09

Now could someone tell me what Obama accomplished in a less then two week period of time of Presidency, that would explain this momentous nomination??

President Barack Obama awarded 2009 Nobel Peace Prize

“War is Peace; Freedom is Slavery; Ignorance is Strength.”

Obama  should have shared the Nobel Peace Prize with George W. Bush, because he is just continuing his policies. And right now it looks like Obama will be even a lot worse than Bush.

“Just look at us. Everything is backwards; everything is upside down. Doctors destroy health, lawyers destroy justice, universities destroy knowledge, governments destroy freedom, the major media destroy information and religions destroy spirituality.”

Less than nine months into his presidency, Barack Obama has been awarded the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize.

(CNN) — President Barack Obama won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize on Friday, a stunning decision that comes just eight months into his presidency.

The Norwegian Nobel Committee said it honored Obama for his “extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.”

The president had not been mentioned as among front-runners for the prize, and the roomful of reporters gasped when Thorbjorn Jagland, chairman of the Nobel committee, uttered Obama’s name.

The president, who was awakened to be told he had won, said he was humbled to be selected, according to an administration official.

The Nobel committee recognized Obama’s efforts to solve complex global problems including working toward a world free of nuclear weapons.

“Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world’s attention and given its people hope for a better future,” the committee said.

Japan asked US to prepare for nuclear strike on China

The Japanese prime minister awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1974 for his opposition to atomic weapons secretly pleaded with Washington to use nuclear missiles against China in the event of a conflict breaking out in the region, it has emerged.

Documents declassified by the government in Japan have disclosed that Prime Minister Eisaku Sato asked the US to retaliate immediately with nuclear weapons in the event of war. Mr Sato made the plea during talks with then US Secretary of Defence Robert McNamara in Washington in January 1965.

China had conducted a successful atomic weapons test three months previously and there was concern in Tokyo that a relatively minor incident in the region might lead to a full-scale military exchange between two nations that still harboured hostility dating back to World War II.

Mr Sato was prime minister from 1964 to 1972, making him Japan’s longest-serving leader, and is best remembered for his opposition to nuclear weapons in a country that still bore the scars of the atomic attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Why Al Gore is a Hypocrite and a Fraud: Energy Guzzled by Al Gore’s Home in Past Year Could Power 232 US Homes for a Month

Gore’s personal electricity consumption up 10%, despite “energy-efficient” home renovations

Global warming is a scam and the world is cooling. – You’ll experience this very soon.

NASHVILLE – In the year since Al Gore took steps to make his home more energy-efficient, the former Vice President’s home energy use surged more than 10%, according to the Tennessee Center for Policy Research.

“A man’s commitment to his beliefs is best measured by what he does behind the closed doors of his own home,” said Drew Johnson, President of the Tennessee Center for Policy Research. “Al Gore is a hypocrite and a fraud when it comes to his commitment to the environment, judging by his home energy consumption.”

In the past year, Gore’s home burned through 213,210 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity, enough to power 232 average American households for a month.

In February 2007, An Inconvenient Truth, a film based on a climate change speech developed by Gore, won an Academy Award for best documentary feature. The next day, the Tennessee Center for Policy Research uncovered that Gore’s Nashville home guzzled 20 times more electricity than the average American household.

After the Tennessee Center for Policy Research exposed Gore’s massive home energy use, the former Vice President scurried to make his home more energy-efficient. Despite adding solar panels, installing a geothermal system, replacing existing light bulbs with more efficient models, and overhauling the home’s windows and ductwork, Gore now consumes more electricity than before the “green” overhaul.

· Huge drive for Congress action on global warming
· $300m TV campaign will focus on job opportunities

Al Gore yesterday launched a drive to mobilise 10 million volunteers to force politicians to act on climate change – twice as many as the number who marched against the Vietnam war or in support of civil rights during the heyday of US activism in the 1960s.

During the next three years, his Alliance for Climate Protection plans to spend $300m (about £150m) on television advertising and online organising to make global warming among the most urgent issues for elected American leaders.

The wecansolveit.org initiative aims to build up pressure on the next US president to support stringent mandatory emissions controls when they come before Congress, and take a leadership role at the renegotiation of the Kyoto treaty.
