Sen. Rand Paul,R-Ky., joined the pair on the road Tuesday, and while he had planned to campaign for Romney, his appearance on the trail couldn’t have come at a better time. The libertarian worldview that made him and his father — Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas — populist heroes was on full display in his brief remarks before he introduced Romney and Ryan. Paul told the crowd he was “mortified” by the fact that people in foreign countries are on television burning the American flag and yet still receive foreign aid.

“They are attacking our embassy, burning our flag, torturing and imprisoning the man who helped us get (Osama) bin Laden . . . what’s President Obama’s answer? Send them more of your money,” Paul said as the crowd booed.

Paul’s popularity could help reenergize Tea Party activists and help attract more libertarian voters to vote for Romney local tea party leaders and voters here said. The elder Paul received a little more than 9% of the vote in the state’s March presidential primary. “Hopefully he can steal some of those Ron Paul votes,” said David Richeson, 59, a toolmaker from Dayton. Richeson said anyone who is still undecided at this point is more likely to vote for Romney than Obama.

These polls show that American voters no longer give a damn whether Israel, which has chosen to live by the sword, finally dies by the sword. As Dave Lindorff observes, Netanyahu’s mad obsession with pushing the US into yet another unwanted war for Israel “may have fundamentally undermined the long-standing ‘special relationship’ between the US and Israel.

And still Netanyahu continues on this seemingly suicidal course. He even orders the Mossad and its CIA assets including Gladio veteran Terry Jones to unleash a rabidly anti-Islam film, spammed into the faces of every Muslim on the planet via millions of dollars of computer server time and intelligence agency expertise – an obvious attempt to fan the flames of islamophobia and pave the way to a US war on Iran for Israel. Obama, who is on record saying he hates Netanyahu and that Netanyahu is a liar, and who knows that Netanyahu manufactured the “Innocence of Muslims” crisis to try to get Romney elected, responded by refusing to meet with Netanyahu in New York, and going on the David Letterman Show instead. He said the failure was inadvertent. The change raised their total income to $323,416 and increased their taxes by $19,917 to $64,674, or 20 percent of adjusted gross income.They owed a penalty of $59 for the original underpayment. The Ryans explained that they had overlooked their income from the Prudence Little Living Trust. Mrs. Little, who died in 2010, was Mrs. Ryan’s mother.

Yup. I overlooked that $60K, almost 20% of my income. $60K here, $60K there, how am I supposed to keep track of it? Who can remember every penny? Besides it came from some obscure source I’d never remember … what was it again? … oh yeah, your Mom’s trust.Or maybe, just maybe, what I overlooked was the fact that I would be the vice-presidential candidate and wouldn’t be able to count on the trust income going unnoticed and unreported.

By now everyone has heard the infamous Mitt Romney speech discussing the “47%” if primarily in the context of how this impacts his political chances, and how it is possible that a president “of the people” can really be a president “of the 53%.” Alas, there has been very little discussion of the actual underlying facts behind this statement, which ironically underestimates the sad reality of America’s transition to a welfare state. Recall Art Cashin’s math from a month ago that when one adds the 107 million Americans already receiving some form of means-tested government welfare, to the 46 million seniors collecting Medicare and 22 million government employees at the federal, state and local level, and “suddenly, over 165 million people, a clear majority of the 308 million Americans counted by the U.S. Census Bureau in 2010, are at least partially dependents of the state.”Yes, Romney demonstrated potentially terminal lack of tact and contextual comprehension with his statement, and most certainly did alienate a substantial chunk of voters (most of whom would not have voted for him in the first place) but the math is there. The same math that inevitably fails when one attempts to reconcile how the $100+ trillion in underfunded US welfare liabilities will someday be funded. Yet the above is for political pundits to debate, if not resolve. Because there is no resolution. What we did want to bring attention to, is something else that Mitt Romney said, which has received no prominence in the mainstream media from either side. The import of the Romney statement is critical as it reveals just what the endgame may well looks like.

In response to an audience question:

Romney: [The] former head of Goldman Sachs, John Whitehead, was also the former head of the New York Federal Reserve. And I met with him, and he said as soon as the Fed stops buying all the debt that we’re issuing—which they’ve been doing, the Fed’s buying like three-quarters of the debt that America issues. He said, once that’s over, he said we’re going to have a failed Treasury auction, interest rates are going to have to go up. We’re living in this borrowed fantasy world, where the government keeps on borrowing money. You know, we borrow this extra trillion a year, we wonder who’s loaning us the trillion? The Chinese aren’t loaning us anymore. The Russians aren’t loaning it to us anymore. So who’s giving us the trillion? And the answer is we’re just making it up. The Federal Reserve is just taking it and saying, “Here, we’re giving it.” It’s just made up money, and this does not augur well for our economic future. You know, some of these things are complex enough it’s not easy for people to understand, but your point of saying, bankruptcy usually concentrates the mind.

And that is how the Fed effectively took over control of the United States, as without it, it is game over. This is also why the ongoing presidential election is a farce, and has absolutely no bearing or significance for the future of the US, whose true ruler does not reside at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, but instead holds America hostage in a powerful Stockholm Syndrome grip from the deep recesses of the Marriner Eccles building located, paradoxically, on Constitution Avenue.

Don’t worry though: like any “true democracy”, the real “leader” of the nation will never be eligible for popular vote. Ever.

Speaking with Infowars’ Alex Jones, former Assistant Deputy Secretary of State Dr. Steve Pieczenik says Israel plans to attack Iran before the U.S. elections of Nov. 6., and, that an attack on Iran will assuredly kickoff WWIII, according to him.

Moreover, Pieczenik, a man whose career inspired the character Jack Ryan of the Tom Clancy book series, says the ‘October Surprise’ will not take place in October.  Instead, the big surprise will come earlier, in late September.

Dr. Pieczenik says the specific date of the strike on Iran is Sept. 25th or 26th, Yom Kippur—the Jewish holiday, which commences in the year 2012 at sundown on the 25th, and ends at nightfall, the following day.

“It [an Israeli attack on Iran] could be earlier than October, because we have Yom Kippur.  And I predicted on your radio show, and I predicted to our national security people, privately, that Benjamin Bibi Netanyahu would start something on Rosh Hashanah,” says Pieczenick.

“This [prediction] was over a year ago, and I said it on your radio show.  He was as predictable as a clock, and the Israelis will be very predictable, on Yom Kippur,” he adds.

Pieczenik says it’s clear to him that Israeli prime minister Bibi Netanyahu has already planned to attack Iran and has been desperately trying to enlist the U.S. to back him up.  But, with or without U.S. direct help, Pieczenik is certain that Israel will attack Iran.

Moreover, he says Netanyahu is an extremest, who will “lie” for his personal and selfish cause, a conclusion also drawn by many Israelis who protest his regime.

“Everything Bibi is saying to the Americans and the American Jews is an absolute, unmitigated lie,” Pieczenik, a Jew, himself, says forcefully,

We are being told by ABC News that Iran has launched a submarine and a destroyer into the Persian Gulf from Bandar Abbas port on Tuesday at the same time as U.S. and allied forces held massive naval exercises in the same waters to practice keeping oil shipping lanes open. Tehran has repeatedly threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz, a route for oil exports from the gulf, if Iranian nuclear sites are attacked by Israel, which believes Tehran is trying to develop an atomic bomb. But think about it.

As Mike Rivero observes, this may well be a propaganda run-up to a false flag attack in which one of Israel’s Dolphin submarines, admitted by Germany to be armed with nuclear-tipped cruise missiles, sneaks up along the Iranian cost and fires an attack at a US ship, quite possibly the soon-to-be-scrapped USS Enterprise. So, ahead of hearing the Big Bang and the inevitable screams from Israel’s presstitutes at ABC/NBC/CBS/FOX. Just use your common sense and ask yourself why Iran, trying as hard as they can to avoid a war, would initiate such a foolish attack? As a reminder, Iran has not started a war in over 300 years.  And a “false flag” attack under these circumstances would be all too easy to arrange.  We are on the verge of World War III.  How did we reach this point?

With the demise of the Soviet Union in 1991, the US military-industrial-complex was on the verge of losing its principal justification for the gravy train of producing endless arms and ammunition to restrain the relentless expansion of the Communist Empire. It desperately needed a new, alternative “boogie man” to keep the conveyor belts moving and its profits–from increasingly technical and expensive weapon systems–soaring, where nothing could work better than some shadowy and elusive enemy in the form of “terrorists”, whose identity has no geographic boundaries and where “terrorist acts”, like the Bali bombing, can be arranged at any time it would be politically expedient.  If the government claims such an act was done by “a terrorist”, very few are in the position to explain that it was actually Blackwater (now “Xe”), Delta Forces, or the CIA.

The fabrication of the events of 9/11, which were done with complicity by the Mossad, fulfilled that objective perfectly, especially by blaming those attacks on 19 Islamic fanatics under the control of a guy off in a cave in Afghanistan.  Few have noticed that the first reported claims of responsibility were attributed to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, as Preston James and I explained in “Peeling the 9/11 Onion: Layers of Plots within Plots” (2011). 15 of the 19 “hijackers” were from Saudi Arabia, but no one here seemed to notice.

That Osama had been “our man in Afghanistan” was never acknowledged and, although stories of “blowback” have abounded, until this latest series of protests, which appear to represent the culmination of the decade of abuse of Muslims as a people and Islam as a religion, they seemed fabricated or contrived.  Certainly, the low road taken by the Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld troika, which, in “9/11 and the Neo-Con Agenda” (2008), I likened to a crime syndicate masquerading as an administration, sowed the seeds for bona-fide “blowback”.

It was 1967 when Israeli planes bombed and strafed the USS Liberty for hours, machine-gunning life rafts, peppering the 20 foot “stars and stripes” with machine gun holes, napalming, torpedoes, one of most dastardly sneak attacks on a virtually unarmed ship since Pearl Harbor in 1941.

The US had scheduled a major exercise with multiple AEGIS surface to air “killer ships” many months ago but decided to put off the exercise because of Israeli interference in the US election and the deteriorating relationship with Israel over Iran.

Now we are told only one ship will be used and very few troops.  This news came in before the President ordered language removed from the Democratic Party platform supporting Israel’s claim to Jerusalem as a capitol of a Jewish only state.

The fight over this issue has raged on the floor of the Democratic Convention held, this year, in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Now, Veterans Today has learned that naval personnel in the upcoming exercise have “shoot to kill” orders if approached by unknown aircraft, even if clearly marked as “Israeli.”

Sources near the president are quoted:
