About one-third of the close to 1,000 Germans who travelled to fight for ISIS have returned to the country.

Hans-Georg Maassen, the head of Germany’s Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV), warned that many women and children “had become so radicalized and identify so deeply with IS-ideology that, by all accounts, they must also be identified as jihadis.”

“There are children who have been brainwashed and highly radicalized at ‘schools’ in IS-held areas,” Maassen said in an interview with Deutsche Presse Agentur.

“It’s a problem for us because many of these kids and teenagers can sometimes be dangerous.”

The number of terrorism-related cases investigated by German authorities have quadrupled over the past year, according to newspaper Welt am Sonntag.

Almost the entire territory of Syria, including historic Christian regions, has been liberated from terrorists, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin said. He stressed the importance of restoring peace to enable refugees of all faiths to return home.

“The situation in this country [Syria] is gradually changing. The Syrian armed forces, supported by the Russian military, have liberated from terrorists almost the whole territory of the country, including historic Christian regions,” Putin said on Monday at a meeting with the heads of Orthodox Christian congregations.

Moscow will help restore holy sites not only of Syria’s Christians, but also Muslims and Jews, the Russian leader stated.

“We will help also the members of other faiths, including Muslims, who, as we are well aware of, have also suffered greatly at the hands of bandits, terrorists and radicals,” Putin said. “We will also help Jews, a number of organizations have already reached us with a call for help in restoration of Judaic holy sites.”

University of Waterloo Sociology professor Lorne Dawson thinks jihadists can be rehabilitated because they are “disillusioned and traumatized.” Dawson displays an appalling insensitivity to the millions of victims who have experienced the real trauma of abuses, torture and murder inflicted upon them by jihadists. Dawson states:

No credible expert in the world thinks you arrest your way out of jihadist radicalization — it’s a social movement..You can’t possibly arrest all the people who are engaged with this ideology.

Dawson makes a silly, general, sweeping claim in an attempt to divert attention away from returning Islamic State fighters to Canada, who should face consequences for their war crimes, have their citizenship revoked and be kept safely away from the public. Murderers who are locked up in maximum security jails are child’s play compared to jihadists who have engaged in the cruelest, unimaginable atrocities against innocent people in their war of conquest.

  • In the report, placing the word “refugees” in quotation marks, as well as “unaccompanied children,” is supposedly an expression of “hate”. (Many, if not most, migrants classified as “unaccompanied children” have turned out to be grown men).
  • Government agencies are going out of their way to protect the “integrity” of possible jihadists out of concern for a “democratic society” — the society that these jihadists want to subvert and destroy — and are using their government platform to smear non-mainstream media for matters as small as the use of quotation marks. What about the “integrity” of Swedish citizens and their right to not be blown up?
  • Why is a municipality sponsoring an organization that supports terrorists and even awarding it prizes? It appears that glorifying terrorism is acceptable in Sweden, so long as its victims are the Israeli children. Far from countering “hate”, Sweden appears to be doing all it can to strengthen Muslim extremism.

The Swedish government is now officially questioning free speech. A government agency has declared so-called Swedish “new media” — news outlets that refuse to subscribe to the politically correct orthodoxies of the mainstream media — a possible threat to democracy. In a government report, tellingly called “The White Hatred” written by Totalförsvarets forskningsinstitut (Total Defense Research Institute), a government agency under the Swedish Ministry of Defense, Swedish new media such as Samhällsnytt (formerly known as Avpixlat), Nyheter Idag and Nya Tider are lumped together with neo-Nazi media such as Nordfront.

On Friday, Turkey said President Donald Trump told President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in a phone call that he had issued instructions that weapons should not be provided to the Syrian Kurdish YPG fighters, which Ankara views as a threat.

(MEMO) — A new report released yesterday by an Israeli intelligence bureau has suggested that in confronting Iran, the interests of Daesh and Israel could converge, making them temporary allies, according to the Jerusalem Post.

The Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Centre emphasized that there was no formal alliance between Israel and the so-called Islamic State, but said that after Daesh has fallen as a state, both would target Iran and Hezbollah militants in Syria.

According to the report, Daesh “will likely change its combat patterns and revert to guerrilla tactics and terrorism following the end of the campaign against it in Iraq, and may carry out hit-and-run attacks against Iranian vehicles moving along the land.”

(CNN)Dozens of men wearing military combat uniforms and armed with automatic machine guns carried out the deadly assault on a Sufi mosque in northern Sinai, Egyptian authorities said.

Twenty-five to 30 attackers arrived in five SUVs at the al Rawdah Sufi mosque in Bir al-Abed on Friday. Some wore masks and at least one was carrying an ISIS flag, the state prosecutor told state-run Nile TV in a statement.
They positioned themselves at the building’s entrances and the front of the mosque shortly before the massive gunfire and loud explosions rang out.

Airlines abruptly stopped letting passengers take laptops in their cabin baggage in March 2017. Passengers were not told what threat their devices posed or why there had been a sudden change in the rules. Now, the lid has been lifted on the spy operation which uncovered the intelligence that led to the ban.

A secret Israeli operation supported by Mossad fed intelligence to the rest of the world after its agents listened in on a conversation between Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) fighters in the group’s then-capital, Raqqa.

Commandos from Israel’s elite Sayeret Matkal force and Mossad technical operatives were scrambled to the desert outside Raqqa in two Sikorsky CH-53 helicopters. The operatives planted listening devices around a room used by IS, and just days later intelligence began flooding in. Six Syrian asylum seekers suspected of being ISIS members and plotting an attack against a “public target” have been detained in a large-scale operation by police in Germany. Local media report that the suspects had targeted a Christmas market.

Some 500 officers took part in a joint raid on eight apartments in the cities of Kassel, Hannover, Essen and Leipzig early on Tuesday morning, police said in a statement.

The operation, led by Hessen Criminal Police and the attorney general’s office in Frankfurt am Main, targeted six Syrian nationals, aged between 20 and 28, who were asylum seekers in Germany since 2014-2015. These people “are suspected of being members of the foreign terrorist group, the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS).”

At a moment of widespread acknowledgement that the short-lived Islamic State is no longer a reality, and as ISIS is about to be defeated by the Syrian Army in its last urban holdout of Abu Kamal City in eastern Syria, the US is signalling an open-ended military presence in Syria. On Monday Defense Secretary Jim Mattis told reporters at the Pentagon that the US is preparing for a long term military commitment in Syria to fight ISIS “as long as they want to fight.”

Mattis indicated that even should ISIS loose all of its territory there would still be a dangerous insurgency that could morph into an “ISIS 2.0” which he said the US would seek to prevent. “The enemy hasn’t declared that they’re done with the area yet, so we’ll keep fighting as long as they want to fight,” Mattis said. “We’re not just going to walk away right now before the Geneva process has traction.”

What is ironic about this is that in the vast majority of those schools, if not all of them, students are taught that Islamic jihad violence has nothing to do with Islam, and that Muslims are the victims of large-scale “Islamophobia,” such that concern about jihad terror is “hateful,” “bigoted,” and “racist.”

(ANTIWAR.COM) The Pentagon has reported multiple strikes against “ISIS militants” inside Somalia on Friday, beginning at midnight and continuing to 11 am. These are the first US strikes within Somalia to be explicitly aimed at ISIS.

– Islamic State Collapses As Syrian Army Fully Liberates Deir Ezzor City:

After two months of intense fighting, Syria’s last major ISIS stronghold of Deir Ezzor city has been fully liberated by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA), and this comes just as the terror group is losing its final stronghold across the border in Iraq as the Iraqi army and paramilitary units liberate the city of al-Qaem.

The final fledgling terror resistance ended overnight as the SAA’s elite Tiger Forces and the Republican Guard yesterday liberated the city’s Jubaliyah neighborhood, the central park area, the school of law and education area and the southern part of the sprawling Hamidiyah neighborhood. The week witnessed rapid army victory as it pushed deep into the last remnants of ISIS presence in the city, with the group losing 40% of the area that it had been controlling in the northern part of the city in a matter of a mere few days.

Backed by Russian airstrikes, the Syrian army’s victory in Deir Ezzor has even anti-Assad pundits expressing shock and surprise that government forces could come back against such impossible odds. For much of the past year the city’s key military airport was besieged by ISIS while over 5000 civilians along with Syrian army and Hezbollah fighters were trapped inside the base with no food or supplies. According to various reports from correspondents on the ground, it was defended from near daily terror attacks by starving base residents, and supplied from government air drops. Many lost their lives just attempting to access some of the hard to reach airdrops on which the base’s survival depended, however, it was the SAA liberation of this key airport in early September that proved to be the final turning point of the breakdown of the ISIS stranglehold on the city.
