Florida raises allowable limits of cancer-causing chemicals in drinking water ahead of fracking boom

Cold-Water-Glass-Droplets-Close-Up

Florida raises allowable limits of cancer-causing chemicals in drinking water ahead of fracking boom:

On Tuesday, July 26, Florida’s Environmental Regulation Commission voted 3-2 in favor of passing controversial new water quality standards that will raise the maximum allowable levels of more than two dozen cancer-causing chemicals to be dumped into the state’s rivers and streams.

The new standards, which were based on Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) recommendations, were passed despite strong opposition from clean water advocates who say that the move poses a serious health threat and paves the way for widespread fracking operations in the state.

Progressives BETRAYED! Democratic party official platform is now pro FRACKING, pro Monsanto, pro TPP, anti GMO labeling

Vote-Button-Monsanto-GMO-Fracking

Progressives BETRAYED! Democratic party official platform is now pro FRACKING, pro Monsanto, pro TPP, anti GMO labeling:

Because of the diverse audience we attract, there are a lot of Natural News readers who are still supporting the Democrats. If you’re one of those people, it’s time for you to question what you’re really supporting because you may not be aware that the democratic party openly supports fracking, Monsanto, vaccine mandates, chemical agriculture and the TPP. On top of that, they’re mostly opposed to GMO labeling, too. Only Sen. Sanders really stood up to the biotech industry on that point, and now after the DNC email leaks, you know how the democrat establishment hosed Sanders with a vindictive smear campaign to destroy his chances of winning the nomination.

The truth is, the Democrat party is not a party of progressive ideas. Even the progressive news website Common Dreams has authored this piece blasting the DNC for its betrayals.

Federal Agents Went Undercover To Spy on Anti-Fracking Movement, Emails Reveal

Federal Agents Went Undercover To Spy on Anti-Fracking Movement, Emails Reveal:

Source: The Intercept

When more than 300 protesters assembled in May at the Holiday Inn in Lakewood, Colorado — the venue chosen by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) for an auction of oil and gas leases on public lands — several of the demonstrators were in fact undercover agents sent by law enforcement to keep tabs on the demonstration, according to emails obtained by The Intercept.

The “Keep it in the Ground” movement, a broad effort to block the development of drilling projects, has rapidly gained traction over the last year, raising pressure on the Obama administration to curtail hydraulic fracturing, known as fracking, and coal mining on federal public lands. In response, government agencies and industry groups have sharply criticized the activists in public, while quietly moving to track their activities.

German Government Agrees “Indefinite” Ban On Fracking, But …

German Government Agrees to Ban Fracking but Keep Door Open:

The German government has agreed to ban fracking for shale gas for an indefinite period, but would allow test drilling to be carried out if state governments permit it, news agencies reported on Tuesday.

The two parties in Germany’s ruling coalition – the Christian Democrats (CDU) and the Social Democrats (SPD) – agreed to what is being called an “indefinite” ban, but the agreement calls for a review in five years, leaving the door open for a possible lifting of the ban.

Parliament must still approve the ban.

‘People should be terrified fracking is spreading’ – Australian MP who set river on fire to RT

‘People should be terrified fracking is spreading’ – Australian MP who set river on fire to RT:

Fracking should be banned as a “global threat” as it causes methane leaks contaminating water in the communities near gas wells, says an Australian MP who literally set a river ablaze to draw attention to the adverse effects of the practice.

The companies that extract coal seam gas via fracking are duping people into believing that their technology is safe, while in reality it has contributed greatly to the pollution of sites like Condamine river located in the Australian state of Queensland just near the fracking site, Greens MP Jeremy Buckingham said in an interview to RT.
