H/t reader squodgy:
We are sick & tired of the “Spongeing Society””
People around the world are sick and tired of the status quo. They are sick and tired of the overly political correctness and the way that the system is attempting to control every aspect of our lives. You can see this growing wave of discontent from the ever-growing amount of politicians getting elected around the world with a nationalist ideology.
It appears the reality of the rising probability of Britain leaving the EU is dawning on the rest of Europe. So much so in fact that Germany’s Der Spiegel magazine unleashes an English-language front-page urging “Please Don’t Go! – Why Germany needs the British.”
As KeepTalkingGreece reports, the special edition with the English title will be sold in in the UK at a reduced price of 2 BP (2.90 euros).
Editor-in-chief of the weekly,
Klaus Brinkbäumer, said that the central article of the magazine will include several arguments why the European Union can not manage without Britain. “The result is an objective and simultaneously strong, moving -and bilingual- appeal to the country: Please do not leave!” the editorial team said in a statement today. The central article describes the important role Britain played in defining the European Union and analyzes the impact of a Brexit to Europe’s security, its ability to fight terrorism and geo-strategic weight.
Palestinian aid is under review by the British government after it was alleged some of the funds are paying the ‘salaries’ of terrorists. The probe comes as the US promised to give Israel the “largest military aid package in history.”
The Department for International Development (DfID) said it is reviewing its aid package to the Palestinian territories as it considers “how best to support” a two-state solution in the region.
The European Union is an “empire that is hugely bureaucratic,” warns Marc Faber, telling CNBC that he thinks that “a Brexit would be bullish for global economic growth,” because “it would give other countries incentive to leave the badly organized EU.” The Gloom, Boom & Doom-er explained that Brexit is a risk Britain should be willing to take, and that it would not be a disaster, “on the contrary, it would be the best thing for Britain that would ever happen!” Rubbing further salt into the wounds of Europe’s establishment, outspoken pro-Brexit campaigner Nigel Farage exclaimed that he said he would “destroy the old EU”, together with 5-Star leader Beppe Grillo.

Two polls were recently released that call the European Union in question.
A poll in Italy reported that the Five Star Movement (a populist political party that wants to hold a referendum on whether Italy should remain in the European Union) was the most popular political party in the country ahead of local elections scheduled for next month.
On the same day, British researchers who surveyed nine EU countries reported that 45 percent of respondents believed that their country should hold a referendum on whether to remain in the EU.
Following the two polls overnight pointing to a significant lead for “leave” over “remain” in the Brexit vote, as we noted, cable tumbled and volatility premia spiked as Brexit odds surge to their highest yet. This pushed UK PM David Cameron into full panic mode, explaining that “we’re not scaremongering,” Cameron then said during an interview that Brexit would put a “bomb under our economy, and the worst thing is, we’d have lit the fuse ourselves.”
Vocal Brexit supporter, Boris Johnson warned today about the “triple whammy of woe” if Britain votes to remain…
MPs who support remaining in the European Union may use their majority in Parliament to sidestep the public altogether and vote to keep Britain in the EU’s single market, meaning free movement of people, goods and services would stay despite a ‘Brexit’.
A number of pro-‘Remain’ MPs have suggested using their 257 person majority to vote to keep the UK within the European Economic Area (EEA), which mandates the free movement of people, goods and services, even in the event of a Brexit, the BBC reports.
Former Mayor of London Boris Johnson says nearly 300,000 new jobs will be created if Britain escapes from the “shackles” of the European Union (EU).
“If we Vote Leave we will be able to forge bold new trade deals with growing economies around the world. These are deals that the EU has tried and failed to achieve due to protectionist forces in Europe,” said Johnson at a Brexit campaign rally in London on Saturday, adding that, “After we liberate ourselves from the shackles of Brussels we will be able to create hundreds of thousands of new jobs right across the UK.”
Brexit campaigners at the rally pledged to start immediate trade negotiations that would create a boost in employment provided that voters back leaving the 28-nation bloc in the June 23 referendum.
“Predictably the gloomsters want to do down Britain – they claim we are not strong enough to stand on our own two feet. What total tosh. There is a huge world of opportunity and…

“I am appalled by it. It should be neutral,” exclaimed one angry Brit after seeing that Brexit voters are being sent postal ballots with a guide that strongly suggests they should vote for Britain to remain in the European Union.
The “How to vote by post” forms were sent out last week…
And, as The Telegraph reports, this has prompted furious complaints from anti-EU campaigners, as the step-by-step guide includes advice to “read the instructions carefully, then complete your ballot paper” above an image showing a pencil in a hand ticking a box to “remain a member of the European Union.”
“When i first saw these instructions I was disgusted… The Electoral Commission should never have allowed this to be sent.”
THE migrant crisis will get worse and the European Union (EU) will continue to cost Britons thousands of pounds a week extra if we remain in the UK, Brexit campaigners have claimed.

Britain would be hit with an extra £9 billion in trading costs if voters back Brexit in June’s referendum, the head of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) has warned.
Roberto Azevedo said Brexit would leave ministers with the unprecedented task of having to strike new trade deals with 161 countries, warning that Britain would not be allowed to simply ‘cut and paste’ existing EU terms.
Thousands of new deals would have to be agreed on tariff and quota levels on agricultural produce, for example, while officials would also have to negotiate new terms for access to international markets currently enjoyed by British banks and the UK’s booming service industry.
‘Pretty much all of the UK’s trade [with the world] would somehow have to be negotiated,’ Mr Azevedo told the Financial Times.

With the market still strongly disagreeing with the polls over how BREMAIN is a done deal…
TrueSinews’ Sean Corrigan explains why in his contrite “case for Brexit”…
‘Dear True Sinews, what are your thoughts on Brexit? Roger Bootle wrote a piece in the Telegraph yesterday suggesting that just because everyone is saying one thing, it doesn’t necessarily follow they are right Currently, I sit firmly on the fence getting splinters! Neither side is convincing me either way.’
So wrote a friend the other day. What follows is my answer to his question.
Restlessness and anxiety is said to be growing across top companies in Germany as next month’s historic EU referendum draws closer.
The future of German companies will be thrown into doubt in the event of Britain freeing itself from the shackles of Brussels as 2,500 businesses have branches across the UK.
As Remain and Leave camps drum up support for their campaigns here in the UK, DZ Bank says Brexit would cost the Germany economy £34.8bn by 2017 alone and the country could fall into recession.
German experts predicted Britain leaving Europe would act as a “slow poison” to their countries economy.

The last few weeks have seen ‘Project Fear’ taken to all new levels by the UK establishment as doom-mongering over a possible Brexit conjure images of post-apocalyptic movies. UK PM Cameron and Chanceller Osborne’s latest op-ed tirade warns of 800,000 jobs lost and an “immediate year-long recession” if the Brits exercise their democratic right to vote for sovereignty over tyranny. Judging from the polls, which show Brexit odds tumbling, the fear-mongery is working, however, the markets disagree as forward volatility measures near 2016 highs.…

[Editor’s note: This letter was penned by Tim Price, London-based wealth manager and author of Price Value International.]
On 23 June 2016, this British citizen will be voting to leave the European Union.
To me it’s clear: the EU has not only become too big for its own good, it’s too big to do hardly anything good.
Back in 1975 when the UK first confirmed membership in the EU (when it was called the European Economic Community), it made sense.
“The argument that we would be less secure if we left the EU, is in reality rather difficult to make. There would in fact be some gains if we left, because the UK would be fully master of its own house…The stakes are very high, and the UK referendum is the first roll of the dice in a bigger geopolitical game.”
None other than the former head of MI6 (the British Secret Intelligence Service) Richard Dearlove expressed his quite candid thoughts on the immigration crisis, as well as the possibility of a British exit from the EU during a speech recently at the BBC. The speech is well worth the listen.
Here are some notable quotes from the speech as it relates to the immigration crisis. The former head of intelligence is quick to point out that despite what the public perception may be, the reality is that there are terrorists already among us.
In a shocking slap in the face for UK PM Cameron, more than 300 business leaders are calling on Britain to vote to leave the European Union, saying that the country’s “competitiveness is being undermined by our membership.”As The Telegraph reports, the letter, signed by some of Europe’s most senior business executives, claims Brussels “red tape stifles growth” and a Brexit would “create more jobs” exclaiming that “it is business – not government – which generates wealth.”
Perhaps this explains why Cameron, Osborne, Obama, and almost every other establishment politician and lackey has embraced ‘Project Fear’ when it comes to Brexit, proclaiming World War 3’s imminence and all the worst parts of the bible will occur should the great unwashed masses exercise their right to vote for democracy (as opposed to a tyrannical superstate).
The history of the last couple of thousand years has been broadly repeated attempts by various people or institutions – in a Freudian way – to rediscover the lost childhood of Europe, this golden age of peace and prosperity under the Romans, by trying to unify it. Napoleon, Hitler, various people tried this out, and it ends tragically.”
