While Obama stonewalls, more and more information keeps leaking out about the events surrounding the attack. And each new piece of information somehow manages to make Benghazigate seem even worse.

The latest tidbit is an interview with some of the guards from the Islamist militia tasked with guarding the Benghazi consulate.

The guards were members of the February 17 Brigade, a militia linked to the Muslim Brotherhood. Despite being hired to guard the consulate, the militia members were apparently supposed to be armed and trained by the US consulate.

The State Department, instead of providing proper security, was using the consulate to train Islamist militia.

The February 17 Brigade had early warning that an attack would happen and the guards clearly knew that the attackers would not fire if they knew they were Feb 17.

Last week, administration sources fed friendly journalists this line: “We weren’t wrong about Benghazi, it really was a spontaneous reaction to the video.”

This week, the administration is retreating to a new line, “OK, yes it seems we were wrong, but only because our own intelligence agencies were slow to inform us of what had happened.”

This new line may seem more defensible. But it omits a key fact: the administration was very quick to accept a version of events it found convenient (the video story) – and very slow to accept a version it found inconvenient (eastern Libya is full of seething unpoliced anti-American jihadists). That’s called cherry-picking the intelligence, and the last time it happened, the people now staffing the Obama administration thought it was a very big and bad story.

But surely not so bad a story as the claim that the Benghazi attack was a spontaneous act of terror that had nothing to do with 9/11, even though by amazing coincidence it took place on 9/11.

Benghazi, Libya (CNN) — Ten days after four Americans were killed in their Libyan city, hundreds marched in Benghazi and took over the headquarters of a radical Islamist group tied to the attack.

Thousands of protesters had taken to the street earlier Friday, loudly declaring that they — and not those behind last week’s deadly attack — represent the real sentiments of the Libyan people.

AIRPORT STRIKE ADDS TO “FOG OF WAR”

– Findings: “Precision” Consulate Attack Coordinated with Jones Telethon/Film (Veterans Today, Sep 22, 2012):

—Intelligence sources in Libya reported that foreign “assault teams” had arrived in Libya in advance of the unrest due to the Terry Jones telethon which included a short but insulting film clip involving the Prophet Mohamed.

Terry Jones, reputed former CIA/Gladio recruiter, ran this 13 minute clip as part of a telethon made up of far worse material, a telethon broadcast worldwide at great cost to his 25 member church.

Now key admissions of the nature of the attack make it virtually impossible for any Libyan group to have been involved, a story now being “sold” to the press along with Libyan reprisals.

Studies now reveal as many as 15 separate teams involved, from surveillance to traffic management, to perimeter security to fire support and communications, not to mention “infil” and “exfil” teams along with logistical support. In comparison, the US attack on the “bin Laden compound” in Abbotabad was poorly executed and amateurish.

What makes the new information “key” is more detailed information on the attack which proves conclusively it had taken days, perhaps weeks to plan and coordinate. Those efforts would have been useless without the influx of GOP funding for the Jones telethon, without Google’s violation of its own policies, keeping an offensive YouTube video online and without key sources in the Middle East promoting the video carefully time to the assault by highly trained special operations forces believed to have flown in from Dubai.

Management of the US press, continually dancing from one conspiracy theory to another, is a clear sign that this operation originated in the United States, was handed off to an intelligence agency tied to the Romney campaign and Netanyahu, who turned to friends in the Gulf, as intelligence reports confirmed, to complete the complex and well coordinated military operation on two continents.

HOW DID THIS PHOTO TAKEN BY THE KILLERS GET DIRECTLY TO THE ROMNEY CAMPAIGN?

Below, from Newsweek, an Israel/American publication uses what we are told is actors demonstrating “Muslim rage.” Note the western/Israel “handler” pushing them up to the camera. It is his hand with bitten nails and a wedding ring we see “controlling the scene.”

The US Intelligence report indicates the following:

At least 50 trained special operations troops were used for the assault with advance teams and support bringing the total to minimally 80 to 100 men or more

Both the compound and Ambassador had been under surveillance, Benghazi and Tripoli for the plan to work

Fire support was supplied by gun trucks

In advance of the attack, a perimeter was established, isolating the US Consulate compound which included 7 homes

Americans were first channeled into a “safehouse” by a coordinated “two pronged” attack

Then the “safehouse,” which had been “pre-sighted” was attacked with precision mortar fire which landed on the roof with the first round

Americans were forced to flee in vehicles carefully channeled into an ambush “kill zone” by teams that managed their path through roadblocks and abandoned vehicles

Rescue forces responding were held up for an hour by carefully placed road diversions and additional teams, all requiring full knowledge

Detailed information on the compound, the security team and travel plans for the Ambassador were necessary

As Ambassador Stephens was in Benghazi to open and American Space Cultural Center, full operational security was used.

The US findings are clear in that it was necessary for, not only the Ambassador’s itinerary and security details to have been carefully studied but that secure communications were hacked using advanced technologies unavailable.

An amateur video appears to show Libyans trying to rescue U.S. ambassador Christopher Stevens from a room filled with smoke at the U.S. mission where he was found unconscious after last week’s attack by a mob protesting against a film that denigrates the Prophet Mohammad.

The video, which appeared on the internet and a copy of which was obtained by Reuters in Benghazi, confirms reports that suggested the U.S. envoy died of asphyxiation after the building caught fire.

The footage also sheds new light on the circumstances of the ambassador’s death, apparently showing for the first time that some of the people who forced their way into the U.S. compound later tried to rescue Stevens after they found him lying alone, with no security detail, in one of the rooms in the building.

The video shows a group of young men who had earlier stormed the compound telling other protesters by the light of torches and mobile phones that they had found someone who appeared to be a foreigner lying on the floor.

“There is someone inside … He is a foreigner, he is a foreigner. Take him out,” said one man, shouting for help.

“Bring him out, man! Bring him out,” another said.

“The man is alive. Bring him out, man. Bring him out,” said a third.

“Alive, Alive! God is Greatest,” the crowd cried. Someone called for a car.

“Make space, is there someone who is a medic around? Anyone who can get a car quickly?” another man can be heard saying.

Stevens and three other embassy staff died when gunmen attacked the U.S. consulate and a safe house in the eastern Libyan city on Tuesday night. The attackers were part of a crowd blaming America for a film they said insulted the Prophet Mohammad.
