Bank Of America Warns ‘The US Dollar Is In Trouble’

Bank Of America Warns “The US Dollar Is In Trouble” (ZeroHedge, Feb 16, 2014):

Global financial and commodity markets are warning that the US Dollar is in for a bout of trouble, warns BofAML’s Macneil Curry. Across asset classes, Curry points out that Gold was the first to make its low against the US Dollar, doing so back on Dec-15. The second market to turn against the US Dollar was US Treasuries, with Ten year note futures turning bullish back on Dec-26. Currently, the FX market – most specifically GBP – is breaking out and pressuring the US Dollar. Finally, the Japanese stock market continues to suffer, putting downward pressure on USDJPY and thus US Dollar weakness.

‘Unusually High’ Radiation Levels At U.S. Nuclear Site — Gov’t: ‘We’ve Never Seen A Level Like We Are Seeing … I Can’t Tell You The Amount’

Alarm after ‘unusually high’ radiation levels at U.S. nuclear site — Gov’t: “We’ve never seen a level like we are seeing… I can’t tell you the amount” — Could be Plutonium — Employees “sequestered in place” — ‘Unclear’ how much radiation released — Unprecedented event (VIDEO) (ENENews, Feb 16, 2014):

Reuters, Feb. 16, 2014 (emphasis added): Unusually high levels of radioactive particles were found at an underground nuclear waste site in New Mexico on Saturday in what a spokesman said looked like the first real alarm since the plant opened in 1999. […] radioactive waste, such as plutonium used in defense research and nuclear weapon making, is dumped half a mile below ground […] But I believe it’s safe to say we’ve never seen a level like we are seeing. We just don’t know if it’s a real event, but it looks like one,” [Energy spokesman Roger Nelson] said. It was not yet clear what caused the air-monitoring system to indicate that radioactive particles were present at unsafe levels, Nelson said. […]

AP, Feb. 16, 2014: WIPP […] takes plutonium-contaminated waste from Los Alamos National Laboratory and other federal nuclear projects. [….] Nelson says the cause of the leak is not known […] He couldn’t quantify the level it takes to trigger the monitors […] We are going to take measurements and make sure we understand it” before sending in a team, he said.

British Medical Journal Investigation Exposes Big Pharma As Conspirator In WHO Pandemic Flu Scam

The WHO is also mainly funded by Big Pharma, so this should really surprise nobody.

BMJ investigation exposes Big Pharma as conspirator in WHO pandemic flu scam (Natural News, Feb 16, 2014):

The World Health Organization (WHO) is the subject of a new investigation aimed at uncovering what really took place during the 2009 global influenza pandemic, which led to tens of millions of people being vaccinated for so-called “swine flu.” A joint investigation by the British Medical Journal (BMJ) and the Bureau of Investigative Journalism (BIJ) has already uncovered major conflicts of interest at WHO, whereby vaccine companies profited heavily from the pandemic and the mass hysteria that it generated.

The investigation is focused specifically on the emergency advisory committee that was assigned to make official recommendations to WHO about how to plan for the pandemic, which was fraught with controversy from the start. Comprising this advisory panel were individuals highly connected to pharmaceutical companies, say BMJ and BIJ, many of whom had a vested financial interest in promoting antiviral drugs and influenza vaccines, which have been linked to causing narcolepsy and other disorders.

Big Pharma reportedly held a $4 billion stake in developing the swine flu vaccines that WHO would later push on the public through propaganda and fear. And the reason that WHO so readily accepted these drugs as viable responses to the pandemic is because its key advisors, many of whom are still unknown because they were intentionally kept secret, worked on behalf of the vaccine industry to see these drugs thrust into the limelight of the pandemic-planning process.

New TEPCO Report Shows Damage To Fukushima Unit 3 Spent Fuel Pool MUCH Worse Than That At Unit 4 (Video)

New TEPCO Report Shows Damage to Unit 3 Fuel Pool MUCH Worse Than That at Unit 4 from Fairewinds Energy Education on Vimeo.

Description:

As the eyes of the world have been focused on the Unit 4’s removal of spent fuel,
TEPCO released a report entitled, TEPCO’s Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant Roadmap, that contained some astounding information regarding Unit 3. Follow Fairewinds Energy’s Arnie Gundersen as he shows you the 35-ton refueling bridge that fell in the Unit 3 spent fuel pool during the Unit 3 detonation explosion. Do the math. The bottom line here is that TEPCO has just acknowledged that at least 50-tons of rubble has fallen on top of and into the spent fuel pool in Unit 3. What does this 50-ton pile of debris mean to the Unit 3 spent fuel pool and its cleanup?

Japan indicates US could bring nukes into its territory in case of emergency (RT, Feb 15, 2014):

Tokyo suggested that it would allow the US to bring nuclear weapons into Japanese territory in the event of a serious threat to its security.

In a briefing with lawmakers, Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida outlined conditions that would lead Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s government to make exceptions to Japan’s longstanding posture against possessing, producing, or allowing nuclear weapons within the nation’s borders, Kyodo News reported.

20% Of Obamacare Enrollees Have Not Paid Their First Premium

One Fifth of Obamacare Enrollees Have Not Paid Their First Premium (Freedom Outpost, Feb 15, 2014):

Two days ago, the Department of Health and Human Services reported that the number of Americans who have selected an Obamacare plan has reached 3.3 million.

Note the choice of words, though – “selected” does not mean “enrolled.”

Selected simply means a plan was chosen on one of the exchanges. The insurance industry uses the term “enrolled” after a customer has paid their first premium.

The administration’s use of the word “selected” is smoke and mirrors.

Now that we’ve clarified that, how many people have paid their first Obamacare premium and are officially enrolled?

Germany, France to mastermind European data network – bypassing US (RT, Feb 16, 2014):

Angela Merkel and Francois Hollande will review plans to build up a trustworthy data protection network in Europe. The challenge is to avoid data passing through the US after revelations of mass NSA spying in Germany and France.

Merkel has been one of the biggest supporters of greater data protection in Europe since the revelations that the US tapped her phone emerged in a Der Spiegel news report in October, based on information leaked by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden.

Foreigners Bought Half Of All London Homes Selling For Over £1 Million

Foreigners Bought Half Of All London Homes Selling For Over £1 Million (ZeroHedge, Feb 16, 2014):

Actually, according to the first detailed estimate of international purchase activity in London by Knight Frank, the percentage of all central London homes that sold for more than 1 million pounds to foreigners in the 12 months through June 2013, was 49% to be exact. And as we showed yesterday when we put China’s loan creation in the context of US and Japanese QE, keeping in mind the use of proceeds of all this newly created inside money has to ultimately go somewhere – that somewhere in this case being London and other global luxury real estate, said percentage is only going to get higher. Especially when one adds Russian, the middle east and other various regions whose oligarchs are desperate to park their money in “safe” havens.

‘Money Launderer Until Proven Innocent’ – Italy Imposes 20% Tax Withholding On All Inbound Money Transfers

“Money Launderer Until Proven Innocent” – Italy Imposes 20% Tax Withholding On All Inbound Money Transfers (ZeroHedge, Feb 16, 2014):

While the propaganda surrounding Europe’s “recovery” has reached deafening levels, what is going on behind the scenes is quite the opposite, and in the latest example that Europe is increasingly formalizing a regime of implicit capital controls, we learn that Italy has just ordered banks to withhold a 20% tax on all inbound wire transfers: a decree which on to of everything will apply retroactively to February 1. As Il Sole reports, “the deductions will be automatic (unless prior request for exclusion), and then it will be up to the taxpayer to prove that the money is not in the nature of compensation “income.” In other words, as of this moment, but really starting two weeks ago, all Italians are money launderers unless proven innocent.

Puerto Rico – America’s Version of Greece?

– Puerto Rico – America’s Version of Greece?  (ZeroHedge, Feb 15, 2014):

The Crisis Worsens

We previously discussed Puerto Rico in these pages in October of last year (see “Puerto Rico’s Debt Crisis – Another Domino Keels Over”). At the time, the public debt crisis looked increasingly worrisome – in fact, it seemed as though Puerto Rico would eventually have to apply for a federal bail-out, and if it failed to get one, it might have to restructure its debt (it actually cannot do that, see further below). Several months have now passed and the situation apparently hasn’t gotten better. Before we continue, allow us to point out though that noted contrarian Jeff Gundlach thinks that Puerto Rico will eventually be rescued – he believes that too many politicians have a vested interest in not letting anything bad happen:

“Municipal bonds are slightly overvalued, he said. Investors who are willing to tolerate volatility will get rewarded for the risk in Puerto Rico’s bonds. Too many politicians rely on votes tied to the stability of Puerto Rico to allow a crisis there, according to Gundlach. “Puerto Rico’s bonds are going to make it to the other side of the valley,” he said.”

Navy’s UCLASS Could Be Air To Air Fighter … ‘As A Robotic Wingman Of Sorts’

131109-N-SB233-218

Navy’s UCLASS Could Be Air to Air Fighter (USNI News, Feb 13, 2014):

Could the U.S. Navy’s future Unmanned Carrier-Launched Airborne Surveillance and Strike (UCLASS) aircraft have an air-to-air role? The service’s director of air warfare Rear Adm. Mike Manazir posed that it could during a Dec. 20 interview with USNI News.

Manazir contemplated the possibility that that the UCLASS, which is primarily being designed for the intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) and strike roles, could be used as a flying missile magazine which could supplement the firepower of the F/A-18E/F and F-35C Joint Strike Fighter in air-to-air combat as a robotic wingman of sorts.

Self-Organizing Robot Armies Produced – And All Thanks To Ingenious Termite Logic

Self-organizing robot armies produced – and all thanks to ingenious termite logic (RT, Feb 15, 2014):

Harvard ‘brainiacs’ are at it again. Inspired by termites, they have realized their dream of cheap, expendable, self-organizing robots – a construction crew building complex structures at a quick pace, and completely independent of leadership.

The possibilities are vast. The machines can be made to build any three-dimensional structure on their own and with minimal instruction. But what is truly staggering is their ability to adapt to their work environment and to each other; to calculate losses, reorganize efforts and make adjustments. It is already clear that the development will do wonders for humanity in space, hard-to-reach places and other difficult situations.

For the state that produces one-third of the nation’s fruits and vegetables, the driest spell in 500 years has prompted President Obama to make $100 million in livestock-disaster aid available within 60 days to help the state rebound from what he describes is ” going to be a very challenging situation this year… and potentially some time to come.”

As NBC reports, Governor Jerry Brown believes the “unprecedented emergency” could cost $2.8 billion in job income and $11 billion in state revenues – and as one farmer noted “we can’t recapture that.” Dismal recollections of the 1930’s Dust Bowl are often discussed as workers (and employers) are “packing their bags and leaving town…” leaving regions to “run the risk of becoming desolate ghost towns as local governments and businesses collapse.”

Via NBC,

The truth of the matter is that this is going to be a very challenging situation this year, and frankly, the trend lines are such where it’s going to be a challenging situation for some time to come,” Obama said Friday during a meeting with local leaders in Firebaugh, Calif., a rural enclave not far from Fresno.

The Drugging Of America Summarized In 19 Mind-Altering Facts

The Drugging Of America Summarized In 19 Mind-Altering Facts (ZeroHedge, Feb 15, 2014):

The American people are the most drugged people in the history of the planet.  Illegal drugs get most of the headlines, but the truth is that the number of Americans that are addicted to legal drugs is far greater than the number of Americans that are addicted to illegal drugs.  As you will see below, close to 70 percent of all Americans are currently on at least one prescription drug.  In addition, there are 60 million Americans that “abuse alcohol” and 22 million Americans that use illegal drugs.  What that means is that almost everyone that you meet is going to be on something.  That sounds absolutely crazy but it is true.  We are literally being drugged out of our minds.  In fact, as you will read about below, there are 70 million Americans that are taking “mind-altering drugs” right now.  If it seems like most people cannot think clearly these days, it is because they can’t.  We love our legal drugs and it is getting worse with each passing year.  And considering the fact that big corporations are making tens of billions of dollars peddling their drugs to the rest of us, don’t expect things to change any time soon.

The following are 19 statistics about the drugging of America that are almost too crazy to believe:

Man Breaks Into Police Station, Beats Up, Hospitalizes Cops (ZeroHedge, Feb 15, 2014):

It’s not that the US has a scarcity of bizarre everyday stories – it does not. It is just that sometimes you encounter something so surreal, warped and ridiculous, that even the stock “market” makes sense by comparison. Such as this.

From WNEP of Scranton.

A man is locked up in Luzerne County after breaking into city hall in Pittston. Police said Max Deangelo of Blakeslee smashed one of the glass doors to get into city hall. The Pittston Police Department is also located in the building.

Deangelo is also accused of kicking officers in the chest and face as they tried to arrest him. Deangelo and an officer were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Investigators have not said why Deangelo broke into the building.

Police said he is charged with burglary, aggravated assault, and more charges.

And now, back to the regularly scheduled, televised recovery.
