81,000 tons of ship at 75% steel =60,000 tons of steel @ $100 per ton = $6 million AFTER the scrapping process.
From my experience in engineering and accounting, it is reasonable to calculate that the dismantling process took 12 months for a crew of 20 people @ $50K = $1 million plus equipment hire, disposal & consumables of $0.5 and rent of site.
This produces at least $4 million which should be saved for the U.S. taxpayer after scrapping.
Looks like corruption/incompetence in US Military/Pentagon is still as bad as pre 9/11 under corrupt liar Rumsfeld and should be raised by the general public.
