Syrian Army Keeps Rolling on Terrorists’ Centers in Eastern Damascus

The sources said that the army men carried out a night attack on Al-Nusra in Eastern Ghouta and seized control over a region from Hawsh al-Zariqiyeh to Samsam company.

The army soldiers were supported by the artillery and missile units. Army reports said the Al-Nusra suffered tens of casualties in the attack.

The army has been attacking Al-Nusra at nights after termination of daily truce that is underway in Eastern Ghouta.

In a relevant development on Thursday, the army warded off three terrorist attacks on their positions at a safe corridor specified for civilians evacuation from Eastern Ghouta of Damascus on the third day of the humanitarian ceasefire declared in the region.

Major General Vladimir Zolotukhin, a spokesman for the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria, said that the terrorists attacked the humanitarian corridor in al-Wafedin camp from the three regions of Eastern Harasta, Western al-Rayhanah and Northern al-Shoufaniyeh on the third day of ceasefire in Eastern Ghouta.

He added that the Syrian army forces repulsed all attacks.
