Ivanka Trump’s women entrepreneurs fund takes $100 million from Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates:

President Trump’s first foreign trip brought a big benefit to his daughter’s pet project.

As Trump traveled the Middle East, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates pledged $100 million to a fund for women entrepreneurs proposed by Ivanka Trump, according to a report.

The massive donation comes in spite of Trump, as a presidential candidate, criticizing rival Hillary Clinton for letting her charity take funds from the Saudis.

The Wall Street Journal reported Saudi Arabia and the U.A.E. would donate to the Women Entrepreneurs Fund, a program Ivanka Trump pitched to World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim and has discussed with several world leaders.

The fund’s money will be controlled by World Bank, not Ivanka, but she continues fundraising for it even while serving as an adviser to her father and traveling with him to meet foreign diplomats.

Besides ethics concerns, the $100 million donation stands as a blatant contradiction of President Trump’s attacks on the Clinton Foundation.

As a candidate, Trump repeatedly hammered Clinton’s charity for accepting money from Saudi Arabia and other countries that are notorious for human rights violations.

“Saudi Arabia and many of the countries that gave vast amounts of money to the Clinton Foundation want women as slaves and to kill gays. Hillary must return all money from such countries!” Trump wrote in a June 2016 Facebook post.

In tweets and public remarks, he also deemed the Clinton Foundation a “criminal enterprise” and accused Clinton of accepting pay-for-play donations from foreign governments when she served as secretary of state.

Saudi Arabia donated between $10 million and $25 million to the Clinton Foundation, according to the charity’s website — which is, at most, one-fourth of the amount Ivanka Trump’s fund will get from Saudi Arabia and the U.A.E.

Saudi Arabia did not donate to the foundation when Clinton was secretary of state.

Ivanka Trump met with female Saudi business and government leaders over the weekend for what was billed as a talk about “women’s economic empowerment.” But she and President Trump have so far remained silent about Saudi Arabia’s notorious oppression of women, who are not allowed to drive in the country and need permission from a male “guardian” to travel or get married.

During her meeting, Ivanka Trump simply said Saudi Arabia had made “progress” in its treatment of women that “is very encouraging.” She did not go into detail.

“Lamb to the slaughter….on the face of it….but with the House of Saud being in the Rothschild pockets, this looks like a good staging up for the Irlmaier event.”
