– FBI Confirms Investigation Of Clinton “Cyber Intrusion” As Podesta Goes On The Offensive:
Earlier today the FBI confirmed that they’re in the process of reviewing the Podesta email hack. Per Politico, an FBI spokesman delivered the following generalized comments regarding the recent WikiLeaks revelations but clearly stopped short of tying the leaks to “senior-level Russian officials” as the Clinton campaign has done on numerous occasions.
“The FBI is aware of media reporting on cyber intrusions involving multiple political entities, and is working to determine the accuracy, nature and scope of these matters. The cyber threat environment continues to evolve as cyber actors target all sectors and their data. The FBI takes seriously any allegations of intrusions, and we will continue to hold accountable those who pose a threat in cyberspace.“
The FBI even posted the following helpful guide on how to avoid being hacked yourself. Though we suspect this is less of an issue for those of us who haven’t committed perjury before Congress, ignored a subpeona by deleting federal records and/or collected billions of dollars as part of a massive pay-to-play scandal involving numerous foreign countries and their leaders.

Podesta also confirmed that he had been in touch with the FBI on Sunday night but went on to cite “law enforcement authorities” saying that the investigation was part of an “ongoing investigation of hacking into democratic organizations by Russian intelligence.”
“I was in touch with the FBI on Sunday. They confirmed that they are investigating the criminal hack of my email, and we are of course, fully cooperating in that investigation. We also learned today from law enforcement authorities that that investigation is part of the ongoing investigation of hacking into democratic organizations by Russian intelligence.“
Meanwhile, Podesta decided to go on the offensive by hosting a session with the press earlier today aboard Air Force Hillary. Unlike the FBI’s statement, Podesta played a little more loose with the “facts” by directly pinning the hacking of his email on Russian officials while asserting that Trump must have had advance notice from Assange on when the emails would be released.
“It’s a reasonable conclusion that… the Trump campaign had advanced warning about what Assange was going to do.”
Podesta continued by questioning the timing of the release saying “it’s an awfully curious coincidence that it happened virtually as soon as the water temperature was moving to a boil.”
Frankly, we would be a little more hesitant to talk about “curious coincidences” given the numerous “plumes of smoke” circling the Clinton campaign.

Meanwhile, at least 1 reporter in the press pool seemed to object to the blatant rumor mongering by stating that “actually some people think it’s the other way around that these emails would have been more damaging if they had not been covered up” for so long. While a great point, we’re certain it won’t be long before this member of the press decides to resign from Hillary’s traveling press pool and instead pursue other interests at a local tv station in South Dakota.
