Weather Channel founder John Coleman has slammed Bill Nye, ‘The Science Guy’, for being a scientific fraud:
“I have always been amazed that anyone would pay attention to Bill Nye, a pretend scientist in a bow tie,”
“As a man who has studied the science of meteorology for over 60 years and received the American Meteorological Society’s “Meteorologist of the Year” award, I am totally offended that Nye gets the press and media attention he does.”
Bill Nye is an obstinate supporter of the idea of anthropogenic, or man-made, climate change (previously global warming), and has gone as far to suggest that anyone who denies that theory should be jailed.
When asked if ‘climate deniers’ should be in prison, Nye responded:
“Well, we’ll see what happens. Was it appropriate to jail the guys from ENRON?”
“Was it appropriate to jail people from the cigarette industry who insisted that this addictive product was not addictive and so on?”
John Coleman responded to Nye’s ridiculous statements, which are at their very core denying freedom of speech and scientific examination of a presented theory (not fact):
“That is the most awful thing since Galileo was jailed for saying the Earth was not the center of the Universe.”
“In 20 or 30 years, when Nye is an old man, he will realize how wrong he was as the Earth continues to be a just a great place to live.”
Nye, while adamant that his views on climate change are correct, only holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and is absolutely not a professional scientist, nor a climate scientist.
