Greece Slams EU Bailout-ers: “We Don’t Want The $7 Billion, We Want To Rethink The Whole Program”

Greece Slams EU Bailout-ers: “We Don’t Want The $7 Billion, We Want To Rethink The Whole Program” (ZeroHedge, Jan 30, 2015):

UPDATE: “CONSTRUCTIVE TALKS” are over:

  • *GREECE’S VAROUFAKIS SAYS WILL NOT ASK FOR BAILOUT EXTENSION
  • *VAROUFAKIS SAYS WILL NOT ACCEPT SELF-PERPETUATING CRISIS
  • *VAROUFAKIS SAYS DISCUSSED EURO AREA, NEW DEAL FOR GREECE
  • *DIJSSELBLOEM SAYS UNILATERAL STEPS IS NOT THE WAY FORWARD
  • *DIJSSELBLOEM SAYS GREECE SHOULD CLARIFY ITS POSITION (we think they did!)
  • *GREECE’S VAROUFAKIS SAYS WILL CONVINCE EU PEERS ON NEW DEAL

As Eurogroup chief Jeroen Dijsselbloem (of “template” foot in mouth infamy) heads to Athens for talks today, Bloomberg reports the new Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis has a clear message for his European overlords of the past: “We don’t want the 7 billion euros…We want to sit down and rethink the whole program.” While this exposes the nation’s banking system to further runs, yesterday’s revelation that Russia could step in with financing should they need it, leaves Dijsselbloem and Shulz with less and less leverage even as Spain’s chief economic advisor warns, if Greece doesn’t play along, “there will be problems on all fronts.”

Alexis Tsipras’ Open Letter To Germany: What You Were Never Told About Greece

Alexis Tsipras’ Open Letter To Germany: What You Were Never Told About Greece (ZeroHedge, Jan 29, 2015):

Authored by Alexis Tsipras via Syriza.net,

Most of you, dear [German] readers, will have formed a preconception of what this article is about before you actually read it. I am imploring you not to succumb to such preconceptions. Prejudice was never a good guide, especially during periods when an economic crisis reinforces stereotypes and breeds biggotry, nationalism, even violence.

In 2010, the Greek state ceased to be able to service its debt. Unfortunately, European officials decided to pretend that this problem could be overcome by means of the largest loan in history on condition of fiscal austerity that would, with mathematical precision, shrink the national income from which both new and old loans must be paid. An insolvency problem was thus dealt with as if it were a case of illiquidity.

Brazil’s Economy Is On The Verge Of Total Collapse

– Brazil’s Economy Is On The Verge Of Total Collapse (ZeroHedge, Jan 30, 2015):

Back when the BRICs were the source of marginal global growth, the punditry couldn’t stop praising them. However, in the past year, now that China’s housing bubble has burst and its shadow banking system has imploded, those who remember what BRIC actually stood for are about as rare as those who recall what it means for the Fed to hike rates. Which is precisely why nobody in the mainstream financial media has commented on the absolutely abysmal economic update reported earlier today out Brazil.

We are happy to do so because today’s data follows up quite well to our article from a month ago “Brazil’s Economy Just Imploded” and as the earlier article on the crashing Brazilian Real hinted, things for the Brazilian economy how gone from imploding to, well, worse because not only did the twin fiscal and current account deficits rise even more, hitting a whopping 11% of GDP – the worst since August 1999, but its government debt soared to 63.4% in 2014, up from 56.7% a year ago, and the highest since at least 2006. In short – the entire economy is now on the verge of total collapse.

Only ‘some’ of Fukushima melted fuel is now solid — Nuclear Expert: Molten core ‘re-melts’, even with enough cooling water

TV: Only ‘some’ of Fukushima melted fuel is now solid — Nuclear Expert: Molten core ‘re-melts’, even with enough cooling water — Japan Engineer: “The Fukushima accident was the first of its kind” (VIDEO) (ENEnews, Jan 29, 2015):

NHK, Jan 27, 2015 (emphasis added): Groundwater entering the facility becomes tainted when it mixes with melted fuel inside the reactor containers. Tepco engineers believe some of the fuel has cooled down and turned into solid debris. But they don’t know the exact situation, so they’re hoping to take a look inside… Scientists have figured out a way of using muons to help them see substances hidden from views — like magma… When particles hit a high-density object like magma, they lose energy or are absorbed… it’s like an x-ray. Researchers are hoping to use the technique to get a better idea of what’s inside the reactorsEngineers will… try and determine the state of the melted fuel… Engineers say knowing what’s inside will help them figure out a way to decommission the plant.

Ukraine Is ‘Pressing’ Obama For $3 Billion In Financial Aid

Ukraine Is “Pressing” Obama For $3 Billion In Financial Aid (ZeroHedge, Jan 29, 2015):

It would appear Gazprom has once again come knocking for payment – or else. As Bloomberg reports, Ukraine is pressing the Obama administration to provide political support, as much as $3b in financial aid and “non-lethal weapons,” with the goal of some progress by the end of February, Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko says. Of course, given Europe’s agreement to further sanction Russia (asEU agrees more “punitive” steps are now possible) President Obama will be happy to lend Ukraine more American taxpayer money(despite the market’s perception that Ukraine’s default probability is over 80% – six year highs).

AXA Investment Managaer Explains Why The ECB’s QE Has Already Failed Using “Widget Makers” (Zerohedge, Jan 29, 2015):

“People say, ‘Sell government bonds and lend money to widget manufacturers.’ It doesn’t really work like that.” Hayes says, adding that “Low yields don’t necessarily mean more lending to the real economy; time and confidence are key elements and last 6 years have shown QE can’t control those.” In short: it hasn’t even started and QE is already a complete failure. Good job central-planners.

Bye Bye Alibaba: Chinese MegaCap Plunges Below Post-IPO First Print

BABA Bye Bye: Chinese MegaCap Plunges Below Post-IPO First Print (Zerohedge, Jan 29, 2015):

Alibaba is down over 10% this morning following a disappointing earnings release. This comes on the heels of selling pressure after the Chinese government released its report claiming significant “issues” at China’s richest man’s company. A combination of weak revenues, a 28% plunge in net income, slower than expected growth on its Tmall platform (and disappointment at the progress into mobile advertising) have sent the stock tumbling back near Facebook’s market cap.

It Will Now Cost You 0.5% To Save Money In Denmark: Danish Central Bank Cuts Rates For Third Time In Two Weeks

It Will Now Cost You 0.5% To Save Money In Denmark: Danish Central Bank Cuts Rates For Third Time In Two Weeks (Zerohedge, Jan 29, 2015):

When the Danish Central Bank cut rates precisely a week ago, going from NIRP to NIRPer, and pushing the deposit rate from -0.2% to -0.35%, the sense of desperation was already in the air: after all this was already the second rate cut by the Denmark’s monetary authority in one week, all in the hope of preserving the peg to the DEK to the EUR. That sense of desperation just hit a fever pitch moments ago, when the Dutch central bank just went NIRPest, and cut rates across the board yet again, and made it even more costly to save money in the north European country, where the Deposit rate has just been cut from -0.35% to -0.5%!

Gorbachev: US dragging Russia into new Cold War, which might grow into armed conflict

Gorbachev: US dragging Russia into new Cold War, which might grow into armed conflict (RT, Jan 29, 2015):

Mikhail Gorbachev has accused the US of dragging Russia into a new Cold War. The former Soviet president fears the chill in relations could eventually spur an armed conflict.

Plainly speaking, the US has already dragged us into a new Cold War, trying to openly implement its idea of triumphalism,” Gorbachev said in an interview with Interfax.

The former USSR leader, whose name is associated with the end of the Cold War between the Soviet Union and the United States, is worried about the possible consequences.

What’s next? Unfortunately, I cannot be sure that the Cold War will not bring about a ‘hot’ one. I’m afraid they might take the risk,” he said.

The Renewed Push for Deeper North American Integration (Be Your Own leader, Jan 29, 2015):

The globalist plan to incrementally merge the U.S., Canada and Mexico into a North American Union has been ongoing for years. While at times, the agenda appears to have seemingly stalled, current efforts to expand the trilateral partnership show that it is alive and once again gaining steam. With NAFTA as the foundation, the renewed push for deeper North American integration continues on many different fronts.

Seattle cop arrests 70-year-old black veteran for carrying golf club (Video)

New video shows white Seattle cop arresting 70yo black veteran for carrying golf club (RT, Jan 29, 2015):

The Seattle Police Department is reviewing the conduct of an officer after she arrested an elderly black man who was using a golf club as a cane. Posting online, the officer also characterized civil unrest in Ferguson, Mo., as “chronic black racism.”

Seattle police released dashcam footage of the July encounter on Wednesday.

“You swung that golf club at me when I turned the corner at 11th and Pike,” Officer Cynthia Whitlatch said to 70-year-old William Wingate before arresting him.

The alleged club-swinging is not shown in the 20-minute video which starts out with Whitlatch — who is white — repeatedly yelling at Wingate to drop the golf club, calling it a “weapon” at one point. Wingate protests that he has been “walking with this golf club for 20 years.”

The video was obtained by The Stranger through a public records request.

“You just swung that golf club at me!” Whitlatch said in the video.

“No, I did not!” Wingate replied.

Mother of 17yo Denver girl slain by police demands independent autopsy

Mother of 17yo Denver girl slain by police demands independent autopsy (RT, Jan 29, 2015):

The mother of Jessica Hernandez, an unarmed teenager who was fatally shot Monday by Denver police, has called for an independent autopsy to be carried out on her daughter’s body to counter any potential bias that may come from the official investigation.

Laura Sonya Rosales Hernandez’s daughter Jessie, 17, was fired upon by two Denver officers who believed she was driving a stolen vehicle through an alley in the city’s Park Hill neighborhood.

“I want another autopsy on my daughter so we can know how much damage they did,” Hernandez said, the Associated Press reported.

George Bush Pedophile Sex Ring and Blackmail of Congress (Veterans Today)

“This one’s for Marilyn. Institutional Paedophilia isn’t just for the privelaged Royalty & British Government, we’ve exported it………”

George Bush Pedophile Sex Ring and Blackmail of Congress (Veterans Today, Jan 12, 2015):

George HW Bush is a known evil pedophile, who ran a Congressional Blackmail Child Sex Ring during the 1980s known as “Operation Brownstone and Operation Brownstar”, and later to become known as “The Finders or The Franklin Coverup”. U.S. Vice President George HW Bush would sneak children over to Senator Barney Frank’s condo, known as a “Brownstone” to their famous cocktail parties, where U.S. Congressman and U.S. Senators — some willing and some unwilling participants — got a taste of the “Voodoo Drug” in their drink.

To prove a case, you need one that was involved in an operation or a witness or documents; in this case, U.S. Customs documents prove the case without getting anyone still living killed. Inside the (scribd) document below is an article that appeared in US News and World report December 27 1993, entitled “Through a Glass Very Darkly”. This includes cops, spies and a very old investigation — also copies of the U.S. Customs Reports where the names are not blacked out.

Former Fox News Employee Commits Suicide In Front of NYC Office

Former Fox News Employee Commits Suicide In Front of NYC Office (The Anti Media, Jan 27, 2015):

Phillip Perea, a former promotion producer at Fox News, shot and killed himself out front of the company’s building in Manhattan on Monday morning. The former employee was the victim of highly publicized bullying from management at the company, which ultimately resulted in the loss of his job. It has also been speculated by many that that he was railroaded out of his position because a local police officer was not happy with how a police brutality story was covered.

Over the past several months, Perea has been releasing a series of YouTube videos, which provide extensive details about his time at Fox, and the circumstances leading to his termination.

Perea’s troubles at Fox began in July, when he covered a story about a female jogger named Amanda Jo Stephen who was assaulted by police for jaywalking. Perea posted a picture where the angry officer was standing next to the crying jogger, and apparently Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo ended up contacting the station to complain.

California City Says Black, Sediment-Filled Tap Water is “Safe to Drink” (The Anti Media, Jan 27, 2015):

Residents in the city of Gardena, California have recently reported a foul-smelling, black sludge coming from their sinks, yet the Golden State Water Company claims that this grotesque “water” is safe to drink. And furthermore, it doesn’t sound like they are doing much to test the tap water for local residents.

Customers even gathered samples of the water for the water company to test, and they still refused to test the samples because they needed “special tubes” to do so.
