More Americans Go Hungry Than All But 2 European Nations

More Americans Go Hungry Than All But 2 European Nations (ZeroHedge, April 8, 2014):

Since 2007, when the financial crisis touched down across the world, the proportion of people going hungry in Europe has soared, according to the OECD. As Bloomberg’s Niraj Shah notes, the number has doubled in Greece alone from 8.9% in 2007 to almost 18% currently unable to afford food. Across the European Union, the proportion of people going hungry ranges from 4.6% in Germany to over 30% in (ironically) Hungary. However, before one gloats at the weakness in Europe and the cleanest dirty shirt the US pretends to be, at 21.1% of Americans unable to afford food, only Hungary and Estonia are in worst shape

  1. In the US, over 20% of the population goes hungry at some point in a month. The reason is the skyrocketing prices of food. America kept a cheap food policy for years, but that has disappeared along with our once credible banking system and rules of law. The US is on the way down, not up.
Over 47 million households are now on food stamps. Food stamps will not feed anyone for a month, but they augment the high prices a bit. Congress keeps cutting them, it is as if they want an uprising.

Why are the prices going up? The value of the dollar is going down radically. Our dollar has not been officially devalued, but they have run the printing presses nonstop for years, and it is time to pay the fiddler. We didn’t have to devalue it, just print so much money it happens naturally.

Hunger causes revolution. That is true throughout history. We have fools in power. People need to learn not to buy junk in the grocery stores, but to buy things that will last. We used to have classes in middle and high school that taught home economics……it is time to do it again.

The dollar is sinking like a stone, and that is why prices are so high, and so many go hungry. Hunger is a dreadful thing, nobody should suffer with it. Elderly and children are the hardest hit.

Watching the US turn into a third world country has been a very painful process………and that is what we are becoming. All our rules of law are gone, and corruption is so deep that we are rotting from the center.
