I recall watching a TV programme by the late Russo/Anglo actor Peter Ustinov, back in the eighties in which he pointed out the same predicament facing the then USSR.
He showed a map with USSR as its centre, and marked off all the hostile western missile sites in Europe, and NOTHING HAS CHANGED except they just got closer.
The most upsetting thing is how the west under George Herbert Walker Bush bankrupted USSR in Afghanistan and then conned Gorbachev into relinquishing everything.
Funny how Bush bankrupted USSR in Afghanistan, but nobody pulls the plug on USA in Afghanistan even though it has cost more and USA is already insolvent……
I wonder who holds the purse here???????
