Preppers, Patriots and Pirates (Veterans Today)

‘By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.’
– Benjamin Franklin

Preppers, Patriots and Pirates (Veterans Today, Dec 31, 2012):

Now that the prospects of a second Obama administration are hitting home, the pace of a rapid deterioration are confronting all thinking Americans. The radical transformation that is centrally planned for the economy and authoritarianism administrated by the statists that are part of the most tyrannical regime in memory, is taking place before our eyes. Falling off the cliff is more like descending into the abyss of martial law contrived to eliminate the last remnants of independent citizens. Advocating for civil liberties is treated as a criminal act and the gun culture is looked upon as the preview of a terrorist cell.

Several decades ago, the label of being a survivalist painted a prepared person as odd if not deranged. Today the “prepper” is demeaned as an enemy of the state. The Obama dependency society demands that government is the dispenser of all wants and needs. The threat to the state from a prepared population has become a primary target of the New World Order minions.

Asteroid To Threaten Earth In 2013 (Veterans Today)

FYI.

Asteroid to threaten Earth in 2013 (Veterans Today, Dec 31, 2012):

“The asteroid, known as DA14, will pass by our planet in February 2013 at a distance of under 27,000 km (16,700 miles). This is closer than the geosynchronous orbit of some satellites.

There is a possibility the asteroid will collide with Earth, but further calculation is required to estimate the potential threat and work out how to avert possible disaster, NASA expert Dr. David Dunham told students at Moscow’s University of Electronics and Mathematics (MIEM).”(Source: CIA – EU)

EditorThe story below is based on NASA data available to the public, news stories released early last year but later suppressed and private reports from sources within NASA and the intelligence community.  NASA indicated that the asteroid in question was “not on their radar” as it had been the result of an “unwanted visitor” in our solar system, the result of the collision of a rogue planet entering the asteroid belt OR a piece of said “rogue planet.”

The article below was submitted at my request by the European Counter Intelligence Agency in response to an interrogatory involving a “leak” received by Veterans Today.  Sources within NASA had informed us that two “vehicles” had been launched on a mission.  We were given no other information than this.  We have NO confirmation that this mission is, in any way, related to the video below or the CIA – EU report published below.

On The New Definition Of ‘Rich’, A $620 Billion Tax Hike Offset By $15 Billion In Spending Cuts, And Much More

On The New Definition Of “Rich”, A $620 Billion Tax Hike Offset By $15 Billion In Spending Cuts, And Much More (ZeroHedge, Jan 01,2013):

We greet the new year with an America that has a Fiscal Cliff deal. Actually no, it doesn’t – not even close. What it does have is an agreement, so far only at the Senate level which voted a little after 2 AM eastern in an 89-8 vote (Nays from Democrats Bennet, Cardin, Harkin, and Republicans – Lee, Paul, Grassley, Rubio  and Shelby), to delay the all-important spending side of the Fiscal Cliff “deal” which “can is kicked” in the form of a 60 day extension to the sequester, to be taken up “eventually”, but hopefully not on day 59 at the 11th hour, the same as fate of the all important US debt ceiling, which remains in limbo, and which now effectively prohibits America from incurring any new gross debt as the $16.4 trillion debt ceiling was breached yesterday. In other words, America’s primary deficit sourcing mechanism is now put on hiatus, and all new net debt will come at the expense of defunding various government retirement funds as the 60 day countdown to the real showdown begins: the debt ceiling, as well as the resolution of the spending side of the Fiscal Cliff deal.

What did happen last night was merely the legislating of the inevitable tax hike on the 1%, which was assured the night Obama won the presidential election, something not even the most rabid Norquist pledge signatories had hope of avoiding. This was the first income tax hike in nearly two decades. A tax hike which, regardless of how it is spun, will result in a drag in consumption. It was also the brand new definition of rich, with the “$250,000” income threshold now left in the dust, and “$400,000 for individuals ($450,000 for joint filers)” taking its place. If you make more than that, congratulations: you are now “rich“.  You will also be hated for being part of the 1%. and be the target in the ongoing class war.

Who knew that “New Normal” would also bring us the “New Rich” definition.

A Massive Electromagnetic Pulse Could Collapse The Economy In A Single Moment

–  A Massive Electromagnetic Pulse Could Collapse The Economy In A Single Moment (Economic Collapse, Dec 31, 2013):

What would you do if all the lights went out and they never came back on?  That is a question that the new NBC series “Revolution” asks, but most people have no idea that a similar thing could happen in real life at any moment.  A single gigantic electromagnetic pulse over the central United States could potentially fry most of the electronics from coast to coast if it was powerful enough.  This could occur in a couple of different ways.  If a powerful nuclear weapon was exploded at a high enough altitude, it could produce an electromagnetic pulse powerful enough to knock out electronics all over the country.  Alternatively, a massive solar storm could potentially cause a similar phenomenon to happen just about anywhere on the planet without much warning.  Of course not all EMP events are created equal.  An electromagnetic pulse can range from a minor inconvenience to a civilization-killing event.  It just depends on how powerful it is.  But in the worst case scenario, we could be facing a situation where our electrical grids have been fried, there is no heat for our homes, our computers don’t work, the Internet does not work, our cell phones do not work, there are no more banking records, nobody can use credit cards anymore, hospitals are unable to function, nobody can pump gas, and supermarkets cannot operate because there is no power and no refrigeration.  Basically, we would witness the complete and total collapse of the economy.  According to a government commission that looked into these things, approximately two-thirds of the U.S. population would die from starvation, disease and societal chaos within one year of a massive EMP attack.  It would be a disaster unlike anything we have ever seen before in U.S. history.

Most Americans are totally clueless about what an EMP attack could do to this nation, but the threat is very real.  There was even a congressional commission that studied the potential effects of an EMP attack on the United States for eight years

The “fiscal cliff” deadline has passed (AP, Jan 1, 2013):

WASHINGTON – The “fiscal cliff” deadline has passed – technically, at least.

The beginning of the New Year in theory means across-the-board tax increases and spending cuts kick in, but Congress is working to cancel them before they can have an impact.

U.S. Nuke Crisis Team’s Fukushima Findings Wasted (Kyodo News)

U.S. nuke crisis team’s Fukushima findings wasted (Japan Times/Kyodo News, Jan 1, 2013):

The United States sent a special nuclear response team to Japan right after the Fukushima meltdown disaster started in March 2011, but Japan was slow to make use of radiation data from the unit, according to U.S. and Japanese government sources.

This dispatch of the Consequence Management Response Team was the first approved for an emergency outside the United States. The CMRT, affiliated with the National Nuclear Security Administration, a semiautonomous agency of the Energy Department, is tasked with dealing with nuclear accidents and terrorism in the U.S. by detecting and analyzing radiation contamination.

The Japanese government, however, did not acknowledge the significance of the team’s mission and failed to immediately utilize the initial data it provided for evacuating residents living around Fukushima No. 1.

Japan PM Shinzo Abe: ‘We Will Build New Nuclear Power Plants’

Abe: New N-plants to be built (The Yomiuri Shimbun, Jan 1, 2013)

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has stated unequivocally for the first time that his government will endorse the construction of new nuclear power plants, while seeking to win over the public on this issue.

“I will take a levelheaded look at what caused the nuclear crisis at [Tokyo Electric Power Co.’s] Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant and other factors,” Abe said Sunday on a TBS television program.

“Any new nuclear plant would be completely different from the old Fukushima No. 1 plant, which was constructed 40 years ago,” Abe said. “We will build new nuclear power plants and seek to win the people’s understanding.”

Back To The Future For Japan? (Japan Times)

Back to the future for Japan? (Japan Times, Jan 1, 2013):

As the new year kicks off and the coalition government of the Liberal Democratic Party and Komeito gets into full swing, Japan will see a drastic change in the direction of policies set by the DPJ government during its rule of three years and three months. It will not be a new direction, however, but rather largely a revival of the policy direction that Prime Minister Shinzo Abe adopted — or tried to adopt — during his first administration from September 2006 to September 2007.

People will likely soon feel the effects of the new Abe administration’s policies, but it is unclear whether his approach to the economy will improve their lives.

US To Officially Go Over The Fiscal Cliff

The latest from “DHS Insider” (Canada Free Press, Dec 27, 2012):

Introduction: After a lengthy, self-imposed informational black-out, my high-level DHS contact known as “Rosebud” emerged with new, non-public information about plans being discussed and prepared for implementation by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in the near future. It is important to note that this black-out was directly related to the aggressive federal initiative of identifying and prosecuting “leakers,” at least those leaks and leakers not sanctioned by the executive office—the latter of which there are many.

Due to those circumstances, my source exercised an abundance of caution to avoid compromising a valuable line of communication until he had information he felt wassignificant enough to risk external contact. The following information is the result of an in-person contact between this author and “Rosebud” within the last 48 hours. With his permission, the interview was digitally recorded and the relevant portions of the contact are provided in a conversational format for easier reading. The original recording was copied onto multiple discs and are maintained in secure locations for historical and insurance purposes.

Meeting: The following began after an exchange of pleasantries and other unrelated discussion:

UK: 1.5 Million Took Out Loans To Fund Christmas

1.5 million took out loans to fund Christmas (Independent, Dec 30, 2012):

Consumers will remain vulnerable to fast-finance firms until a crackdown on credit charges in 2014

Payday lenders and high-street fast-finance firms are expected to campaign hard for more customers over the next 12 months before a crackdown on unscrupulous lending, an MP said last night. The warning came as new figures revealed that around 1.5 million people took short-term loans – some at more than 1,000 per cent interest – to get through a recession-blighted Christmas.

In a survey by Which?, 92 per cent of respondents agreed that people feel under pressure to spend too much at Christmas, and almost a quarter (22 per cent) said they could afford to pay for Christmas only by using credit cards and overdrafts. So it is not surprising that payday-loan firms, pawnbrokers and other money shops were able to cash in.

We Petition The Obama Administration To: Eliminate Armed Guards For The President, Vice-President, And Their Families, And Establish Gun Free Zones Around Them

we petition the obama administration to: Eliminate armed guards for the President, Vice-President, and their families, and establish Gun Free Zones around them (We the People, Dec 23, 2012):

Gun Free Zones are supposed to protect our children, and some politicians wish to strip us of our right to keep and bear arms. Those same politicians and their families are currently under the protection of armed Secret Service agents.

If Gun Free Zones are sufficient protection for our children, then Gun Free Zones should be good enough for politicians.

Obama wants gun violence measures passed in 2013 (AP, Dec 30, 2012):

WASHINGTON – Recalling the shooting rampage that killed 20 first graders as the worst day of his presidency, President Barack Obama pledged to put his “full weight” behind legislation aimed at preventing gun violence.

Obama voiced skepticism about the National Rifle Association’s proposal to put armed guards in schools following the Dec. 14 tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. The president made his comments Saturday in an interview that aired Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
