The Fukushima disaster caused by far the largest discharge of radioactivity into the ocean ever seen. A new model presented by scientists from Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Massachusetts estimates that 16.2 petabecquerels (1015 becquerels) of radioactive caesium leaked from the plant — roughly the same amount that went into the atmosphere.
[…] in the region of the ocean near the plant, levels of caesium-137 have remained fixed at around 1,000 becquerels, a relatively high level compared to the natural background. […]
Researchers at the conference are convinced that something is preventing the radiation levels from dropping. “There must be a source,” says Scott Fowler, an oceanographer at Stony Brook University in New York.

What about the buckyballs landing on our beaches here in CA? Except for this site, and Enviroreporter.com, the story has been buried. Instead, our media is full of junk about Mitt Romney being a sore loser, and lies told by John McCain…….
Except for the Internet, and sites like this, we have lost any freedom of the press. Governments around the world are doing their best to repress the truth on the web now. Governments that fear truth are showing weakness, and it is pretty obvious governments in Europe and the US as well as China and the Middle East are heading for a brick wall.
Fukushima is an unmitigated disaster thanks to building things we cannot control. Instead of facing the problem, they seek to hide it. The results are the destruction of our food chain, and the safety of our lives.
What is the point? We are being destroyed…. while Nero fiddles, Rome is literally burning to the ground.
