Eating Pesticides? Canola Oil-Based Pesticide Label Says: ‘Environmental Hazards: Do Not Apply Directly To Water. Do Not Contaminate Water When Disposing Of Equipment…’

Avoid also cottonseed oil.

Are you eating pesticides? Canola oil, soybean oil used as key ingredients in pesticide products (Natural News, June 29, 2011):

In a shocking new video, Mike Adams (the Health Ranger) reveals that common cooking oils such as canola oil and soybean oil are used as key active ingredients in pesticide products because they work so effectively to kill bugs. The video shows how one pesticide product that kills insects is made with 96% canola oil and is so dangerous that the label says, “Hazards to humans and domestic animals.”

The label of the product, made almost entirely with canola oil, goes on to explain “CAUTION: Avoid contact with skin or clothing.” If you get it on yourself, you are directed to take off all your contaminated clothing, take a 15-20 minute shower to rinse the canola oil off your skin, and then “Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice.”

Again, this is a for an insecticide that’s made of 96% canola oil — an oil that’s found throughout the food supply and especially in products such as salad dressings and snack chips. Canola oil is also in ingredient often used in so-called “vegetable oil” shown on the ingredients label. This canola oil-based pesticide also says on the label: “Environmental Hazards: Do not apply directly to water. Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment…”

Couple Living ‘Off-Grid’ Lifestyle Faces Prison Unless They Move From Their OWN LAND And Return To Existence In Benefits Trap

Injunction to move by the end the of month (This is Devon, June 22, 2011):

A COUPLE living an “off-grid” lifestyle say they face prison unless they move from their own land in Willand and return to an existence in the benefits trap.

Stig and Dinah Mason bought Muxbeare Orchard after a sudden windfall allowed them to quit their impoverished lives on a Hertfordshire council estate two years ago.

The Masons have transformed what they described as a derelict four-acre plot into a haven of self-sufficiency boasting a 400 sq m allotment, a polytunnel and greenhouses to grow fruit and vegetables, chickens for egg production and an orchard they have regenerated by planting around 14 new apple trees of various species.

The couple, who have two boys, aged eight and nine, say because they moved onto the site in order to work the land, Mid Devon District Council is turfing them off as officers do not consider them to be conserving an agricultural area.

They faced magistrates on March 31 when they were served with an injunction to leave within 28 days from June 1.

Dinah, 35, who spent a year with her husband clearing four-foot high nettles and thistles which engulfed the four-acre site, said: “How anybody can say the orchard was being conserved before is beyond my comprehension.”

Blogger Assaulted And Threatened By Undercover Cop

For your information…

This blog is a repository of documentation regarding the death of judicial activist Sun Ming (Sunny) Sheu, and the cover up by law enforcement including the FBI, NYPD and Queens DA.

Author of this blog assaulted and threatened by undercover cop (The Murder of Sunny Sheu, June 29, 2011):

Today, June 29th, I spoke with a reporter from BI for two hours and then left for his office to give him some information I did not want to discuss on the phone.

Outside I noticed a silver van with nobody in it illegally parked across the street from my building. Sunny had been surveilled by a silver van in the days before his murder, so to be cautious I photographed the plates.

The NY plates are number DMC 9287. Then I noticed that there was Police parking plate in the window, showing that the cop was from the 81rst precinct, which is in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.

As I was taking the pictures a guy in a Yankees cap approached me and asked “you got a problem?”. I said,”The van is parked illegally” ,and he replied “well, talk to the cop over there” I looked in the direction he was pointing and asked “who’s the cop?”. To my surprise he said “your fucking mother!” I said “what?” and he repeated “your fucking mother”.

I realized this was the cop from the van. I asked “who are you?” and raised my phone to take a picture. The guy lunged at me and grabbed me by the neck, throwing me against the building. “You take a fucking picture of me and I’ll fucking crush your face” he said. A woman and some kids were walking by and I yelled “call the police” The guy yelled mockingly “yeah call the police”, to let me know that they would not interfere with their own.

High Levels Of Radioactive Cesium In Ashes FROM REGULAR HOUSEHOLD GARBAGE At Tokyo Trash Burning Plant

Fukushima children test positive for internal radiation exposure (Guardian, June 30, 2011):

Trace amounts of radioactive substances have been found in urine samples taken from children from Fukushima city, raising concerns that residents have been exposed internally to radiation from the stricken nuclear power plant 37 miles (60km) away.

Tests were conducted in May on 10 children, aged between 6 and 16, by a Japanese civic group and Acro, a French body that measures radioactivity. All 10 tested positive for tiny amounts of caesium-134 and caesium-137.

Minnesota Joins New Jersey In Insolvency, Shuts Down

Minnesota Joins New Jersey In Insolvency, Shuts Down, Harbinger Of Debt Ceiling Negotiation Outcome? (ZeroHedge, July 1, 2011):

Two down. 48 to go until Meredith Whitney is proven correct beyond a reasonable doubt. After New Jersey was forced to reach out to JP Morgan for an emergency bridge loan a few days ago, it is Minnesota’s turn. From ABC: “Minnesota’s government has shut down, ahead of the holiday weekend, for the second time in six years after state leaders failed to find common ground on resolving a $5 billion budget deficit. Thousands of state workers will be laid off, state parks will be shuttered, the issuance of fishing licenses will be halted and the Minneapolis zoo will be closed. Road projects will also grind to a standstill just as people hit the road for the holiday. A midnight deadline passed without an agreement as talks between Democratic Gov. Mark Dayton and top Republicans unraveled over Dayton’s proposal to impose taxes on the state’s top earners, a move on which top GOP officials have refused to budge…Some programs that will continue unabated include critical services including the State Patrol, prisons, disaster response and federally funded health, welfare and food stamp programs.” Granted this is not a first: “Only four other states — Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Tennessee — have had shutdowns in the past decade, some lasting mere hours. Minnesota’s government partially shut down under then-Gov. Tim Pawlenty in 2005 over a budget fallout.” However, if NJ is any indication, as predicted, expect ever more states to bypass the municipal route of funding, and appeal directly to commercial banks. Which will generously provide as much Fed-generated one and zeros…in exchange for 80% LTV collateral of course.

A midnight deadline passed without an agreement as talks between Democratic Gov. Mark Dayton and top Republicans unraveled over Dayton’s proposal to impose taxes on the state’s top earners, a move on which top GOP officials have refused to budge.

“It’s significant that this shutdown will begin on the Fourth of July weekend,” Dayton said in a news conference late Thursday night. “On that date we celebrate our independence. It also reminds us there are causes and struggles worth fighting for.”

On Tuesday, June 28, 2011, “The Hill,” Washington, DC, political newspaper, requested an op-ed piece from ALIPAC for their publication in response to our national press release calling for the impeachment of President Barack Obama. We provided the following piece per their request and even edited it once per their request. We then received the following message from The Hill….

inappropriate for the Congress Blog.” — Jake Interrante, thehill.com

Below you can read the entire piece that has been banned by The Hill. We have instructed The Hill that we plan to release this document and that we will no longer conduct interviews with their reporters should they call as they have many times in the past.

Calling for the Impeachment of President Barack Obama

June 28, 2011

by William Gheen
President of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC
www.alipac.us

Today our national organization Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) has taken the difficult step of publicly calling on Congress to impeach or use any means at their disposal to stop President Obama and remove him from the Executive Branch of the US Government as soon as possible…

We are calling on Americans of every race, political party, and walk of life to unite behind this call for the impeachment of President Obama. All Americans who believe in the US Constitution, laws of Congress, and self-governance of Americans through elections should stand up against the recent authoritarian and unjust actions of President Obama.

Revealed: British Government’s Plan To Play Down Fukushima (Guardian)

Revealed: British government’s plan to play down Fukushima (Guardian, June 30, 2011):

Internal emails seen by Guardian show PR campaign was launched to protect UK nuclear plans after tsunami in Japan.

Read the emails here

British government officials approached nuclear companies to draw up a co-ordinated public relations strategy to play down the Fukushima nuclear accident just two days after the earthquake and tsunami in Japan and before the extent of the radiation leak was known.

Internal emails seen by the Guardian show how the business and energy departments worked closely behind the scenes with the multinational companies EDF Energy, Areva and Westinghouse to try to ensure the accident did not derail their plans for a new generation of nuclear stations in the UK.

“This has the potential to set the nuclear industry back globally,” wrote one official at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS), whose name has been redacted. “We need to ensure the anti-nuclear chaps and chapesses do not gain ground on this. We need to occupy the territory and hold it. We really need to show the safety of nuclear.”

Los Alamos Takes Supercomputers Offline

Los Alamos Takes Supercomputers Offline (Data Center Knowledge, June 30, 2011):

The wildfire threatening Los Alamos, New Mexico has gained national attention, largely due to concerns about the safety of nuclear waste at Los Alamos National Labs, which played a key role in the Manhattan Project and nuclear weapons development and testing. As we noted Monday, the Department of Energy facility also houses two of the world’s leading supercomputers, the Cielo and Roadrunner systems. Those systems have been taken offline, Computerworld reports.“

A Los Alamos spokeswoman said the laboratory conducted an ‘orderly shutdown’ of two of its largest supercomputers,” writes Patrick Thibodeau at ComputerWorld. “IBM’s Roadrunner, the first the break the petaflop barrier in 2008, and now the 10th ranked most powerful supercomputer in the world, and Cielo, a Craig system that is ranked No. 6 on the Top500 list. The supercomputer shutdowns were conducted ‘early on,’ but an exact day or reason for the action wasn’t clear.”

Los Alamos, New Mexico: Night Sky Finally Cleared Enough To See Flames Licking All Around The Labs And The City (Video)

On this fourth day of the devastating Las Conchas fire which is threatening Los Alamos, New Mexico, the night sky finally cleared enough to see the flames licking all around the labs and the city.

This time-lapse video is comprised of 113 photographs taken 30 seconds apart. Each photograph is shown for one second. My vantage point is from my home on a ridge just to the north of Santa Fe.

You can see quick changes in the fires, stars in the sky, and emergency vehicles making their way on fire duties. The brightest lights are the headquarters of the Los Alamos labs and other technical areas are to the left. To the right is the Los Alamos town site. Below the headquarters is the suburb of White Rock.

(Express) German Mark Set For Comeback As Euro Crisis Deepens: ‘The Bundesbank Has Been Ordered To Print Marks’

The German Jobs Miracle Continues (Business Insider, June 30, 2011):

Germany just booked its 24th straight month of falling unemployment.

Think about that: An aging Western nation, not thought of as being on the vanguard of high technology right now, without an abundance of natural resources, in the midst of an existential crisis all around it, just keeps cranking out the jobs.

According to Bloomberg, the official unemployment rate fell to 7%, once again, hitting a new post-reunification record. A seasonally-adjusted drop of 8,000 jobs was better than the drop of 17,000 jobs economists had predicted.

And of course, this is what makes the anti-Merkel hatred even more interesting. The booming economy and lack of joblessness hasn’t helped her one bit, confounding anyone who thinks that all citizens care about is jobs and the economy.

John Pilger replies on Lannan ban of his film (John Pilger, June 16, 2011)

Patrick Lannan has issued a statement breaking almost a week’s silence since his sudden and unprecedented cancellation of my visit to the Lannan Foundation in Santa Fe for the US premiere of my film, The War You Don`t See.

The reason that Lannan gives for the cancellation is that too few seats were sold for the event on June 15 planned a year ago, in which David Barsamian and I were to be in conversation about the media, US foreign policy and freedom of speech. “In our opinion,” writes Lannan, “to have Mr. Pilger travel thousands of miles from London to Santa Fe to face such a low turn-out would have been embarrassing for him.”

This is specious at best, absurd in reality. On 9 June, Barbara Ventrello, Lannan`s Director of Cultural Freedom Special Projects, with whom I had been in contact on almost a daily basis in preparation for the event and the screening of my film, emailed me:

Fukushima Spews, Los Alamos Burns, Vermont Rages & We Almost Lost Nebraska

Fukushima Spews, Los Alamos Burns, Vermont Rages & We Almost Lost Nebraska (Hawaii Daily News, June, 29, 2011):

Humankind is now threatened by the simultaneous implosion, explosion, incineration, courtroom contempt and drowning of its most lethal industry.

We know only two things for certain:  worse is yet to come, and those in charge are lying about it—at least to the extent of what they actually know, which is nowhere near enough.

Indeed, the assurances from the nuke power industry continue to flow like the floodwaters now swamping the Missouri Valley heartland.

But major breakthroughs have come from a Pennsylvania Senator and New York’s Governor on issues of evacuation and shut-down.  And a public campaign for an end to loan guarantees could put an end to the US industry once and for all.

FUKUSHIMA: The bad news continues to bleed from Japan with no end in sight.  The “light at the end of the tunnel” is an out-of-control radioactive freight train, headed to the core of an endangered planet.

Widespread internal radioactive contamination among Japanese citizens around Fukushima has now been confirmed.

Two whales caught some 650 kilometers from the melting reactors have shown intense radiation.

Plutonium, the deadliest substance known to our species, has been found dangerously far from the site.
